There's a couple of factors in this answer. Was the turkey ever frozen? if so, it should be cooked within two to three days of thawing, regardless. If the turkey is "fresh" (not frozen) you can get away with an extra day. If in doubt, add more salt, and be sure to change the water daily. And did I say more salt? Add more. Salt acts as a preservative, and it's pretty much impossible to over-salt a turkey.

the turkey is already smoked ie already cooked and just needs to be warmed.

if you mean a store bought turkey the answer is still the same ..NO as the process done to the turkey before you by a turkey from the grocery store takes the place of brine.

If you mean a whole turkey and unfrigerated, that's not safe for the amount of time a turkey should be brined. Turkey needs to be brined about 24 hours, and even with a frozen turkey, that would not be safe. If you don't have room in the refrigerator to brine the turkey, as most people don't, what you can do is take a cooler and add water and lots of ice, add the salt, and brine the turkey in the ice water, changing the water and adding ice periodically as needed.

Now if you butterfly the turkey or cut it into parts, it should be much easier to brine in the refrigerator, and if you butterfly it, it will also cook much, much faster.
