Why parents don't trust theirr kids on the internet?

The following apply to parents that do not trust their own children:

1. They do not understand how important the trust of a parent is for a child.

2. They do not understand that the more a parent trusts her or his child, the more trustworthy the child becomes.

3. They illogically attribute the misbehavior of their children to "trusting them too much". Then they believe that they can remedy this by reducing their level of trust.

4. They judge or label their children as untrustworthy expecting that judging a person, instead of understanding a person, would effectively influence change.

5. They do not understand that love without trust is not love at all.

Parents often don't trust their kids on the internet because although the internet can be an awesome tool it can be a dangerous place as well. Many parents limit their children's internet for safety reasons.
