What causes water to come out of the top of a water heater?

Depends where it is coming from. If it is on the cold side and from the vacuum relief valve, no big deal. If it is coming from the inlet or outlet ports where the fittings are screwed in, then they were not sufficiently threaded in properly.

No pressure in the hot water in all house?

Check your water heater to ensure that the valve in the supply line is open. You can test that the water heater is working by using the relief valve at the top, just beware of the potential for scalding hot water to come out if the heater is operating correctly. If you have a full tank, and all the valves are open around the water heater, it may be time to call a plumber.

Why does no water come through to the toilet and it will not flush?

In the tank, if you have the type of fill valve that the float rides up and down on a tube or square shaft, there is a quarter size washer in it that hardens and will not let the water in. It is either in the top or bottom depending on the exact type of valve. Shut the water off at the wall and this type comes apart by twisting it one quarter turn counter clockwise. The washer should be at the point the float separates from the base.If you have the type that has the float ball on the rod, the valve can corrode and will need to be replaced.Sometimes, the washer in the shut off valve will come off and plug the valve. Doesn't happen that often, but something to consider.

How does a two way valve work?

A two way valve is also known as a shut off valve with two ports. A basic two way valve acts like a stock flow valve and allows water to come in and go out.

How do you stop the water from the hot water tank coming to the tap?

There is a shutoff valve on the cold pipe going into the H/W tank, if you close it no water will come out of the tank. There should also be a shutoff valve on the wall below each faucet/tap.

Water out of french horn?

if you dont have a spit valve, you can either 1) tilt the horn around in circles to the left and the water will come out of the leadpipe---where the mouthpiece goes in (make sure you take off the mouthpiece first), or you could 2) tilt the horn to the right upside-down and take out the valves from the back of the horn and take the water out of those valves. if you want to take water out of one of the front valves, put down the finger of the valve whose water you want to get out, and while holding down the valve, take out the actual valve and get the water out and put it back in. dont pick up your finger until the valve is back on.

Why doesnt your cold water come out but your hot does?

This issue could be caused by a blockage in the cold water pipe or a malfunctioning shut-off valve for the cold water. It's best to check for any obstructions in the cold water line and ensure the shut-off valve is fully open. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to contact a plumber to investigate further.
