This happens so that there isn't a monumental video buffering time in certain areas of the world. However, the videos that a YouTuber makes are only stored on that server. Henceforth, a Kansan would have a better YouTube experience watching videos uploaded in Chicago, Illinois; rather than Newcastle, England.
