For example of a categorical search is: The string "BAT" in a search engine, the results that I would get would most probably be linked to the cricket bat, the animal bat, the company BAT and so on. But, what if the user wants only a certain kind of result and not the other. In this case we need to differentiate between different categories and that is the sole purpose of the categorical search engine. To do this we need to divide the entire web into certain number of categories and then provide the user with the power to search within a particular category.
