Please don't take this personally, but I'm so tired of people like you commenting on things you know nothing about. Please STOP!

You gave a Personal Opinion of Pogo.com that you should have kept to yourself because, you gave no examples of Malware you've run across or had to have removed from your computer and no proof of its origin . Unless you have SOLID PROOF that Pogo.com was the source of your hard drive failure, you've made a False Accusation against a reputable business in good standing within the internet community and is Top Rated with its users. This could cost Pogo.com a few new clients they would have gotten had it not been for someones carelessly thought out comment, the subject of which they know nothing.

Not a cool thing to do in any situation.

Just because you make the claim, "I don't think so", to the "Is Pogo.com a Safe Site?" inquiry, doesn't look or sound very good coming from another End-User that lacks ANY knowledge pertaining to the question at hand.

And, since you didn't mention anything about your system (Make, Model, CPU Type, RAM, Total Storage space (HDD size), or even how old your computer was at the time of the HDD failure, it would be nearly impossible for you to prove your HDD crashed because of Pogo.com. The Facts are that you don't really know why your system crashed and pointing fingers at the last thing your BF did is NOT going to uncover the cause of your PC's death.

Your HDD failure may have just been a matter of its age. The Power-on-hours counter never stops. It keeps getting older even when it's not plugged in and not being used. You can't buy a new PC, throw it in the closet for 10 years and when you do put it together and power it on, it's still 10 years old, even though it's never been booted up since it left the factory! The HDD warranty will only cover 3 years (in most cases) from the date of the purchase. So your "Brand new, 10 years old" PC is 7 years past the last warrantable service date. Pogo.com doesn't have anything to do with your computer getting old.

I'll bet you've had a Malware infection for a long time now and just haven't noticed anything until now, or you bought something like an E-Machine. If you were near my area I could take a look at it and make some recommendations. But I lack the needed info previously mentioned to help you.

In the future, please keep these things in mind when voicing your opinion about anything on the Internet. If you're not an expert working in the field of whatever it is you're posting your opinion on, either make no comment, or do your homework before you post anything. You may find that your opinion and what the real experts have to say are in complete opposition to one another.

True Story:

When 5 people in the room are telling you the color is Hot Pink when you see it as Orange, maybe it's time to stop arguing with the group and accept that you have a color vision problem, not the 5 other people who are all in agreement on the subject.

I know this to be true and it was a bit of a rude awakening for me but, even though I AM an Expert in my field, I still have to check myself before I post something that could be viewed as an attack of some sort on the site or service in question (like your post here).

Since McAfee and Google Security both say that Pogo.com is clean and safe, I have to defer to their experts' opinions and say that you are incorrect and your comment should be ignored.

I know Pogo.com can be quite slow (laggy) but it doesn't mean that Pogo.com is trying to install Spyware or Malware on your hard drive. It just means that a LOT of people are playing or that some of the game servers are down for regular maintenance.

So please, pay particular attention to the questions being asked and what type of response\information\answer is being sought. If someone is asking for peoples personal feelings on a subject, say whatever you wish. However, if an answer\response needs a professional, working in the field of the subject, don't post your personal opinion. It wastes the time of others that are trying to research an answer and makes it that much more difficult for anyone to find the answers they are looking for, much less find corroborating information from multiple site sources.

So, in a nutshell, Pogo.com is a safe, Malware\Adware free, gaming site for all ages. Go there and enjoy the feeling of knowing the site you're visiting is safe and secure.
