The text messages are stored on the network's computer - NOT your phone. They are simply downloaded to your phone when they're received. The police simply need to serve a warrant on the company, to have them print out your messages. The don't need your phone !

∙ 11y agoVoice mail can record messages that you have missed. It can also save your messages and it records what time that message was recorded. It also lets you know when you get messages.
Sensitive messages are those that contain confidential or private information, such as personal identification numbers or medical records. For example, an email containing credit card details is a sensitive message. Non-sensitive messages are those that do not contain confidential information and can be shared freely. For example, a general announcement about a company event is a non-sensitive message.
Voicemail is basically a digital version of an answering machine. When someone calls you, if you are not available to take the call yourself, the voicemail system answers, plays your outgoing message (or a generic message telling the caller to leave a message), and then records the caller's message. You then access the voicemail system (details depend entirely on which system you use) and listen to your messages.
Subject to discovery rules in your jurisdiction (and such rules are usually liberally construed) and the continued existence of the messages somewhere, either on a phone or in the files/records of the text message service provider, if the other side wants to spend the money to acquire them, past (not passed) text messages can be accessed and read.
Customer records are records an organisation keeps about the customer like phone messages, emails and evaluation forms etc.
It is sometimes possible for someone to hack your account and retrieve your text messages. Obviously if you leave your phone (or whatever you are using to text) accessible to other people they can also pull up your texts and read them.
Jonas learns that he can find the names of his parents' parents in the Hall of Open Records when he is searching for answers about his family history. This discovery leads him to realize the importance of knowing about his ancestors and understanding his own identity.
I called sprint today to get my own text message records for my own phone, they could only tell me how many messages i used they could not tell me what they said or give me a print out of the text. I have a ex in the past 2 years she is sending me text about when I can and cannot see my son and I wanted a print off of these text messages and bring them to court with me. Sprint admitted to having the records, but told me that I needed a sapena to get the records for my own phone. I think that is bs, but that's cell phone companies for you.
