It depends on if your phone is unlocked or not, and that depends on whether or not you are under contract with one of the big, greedy cell phone companies who grossly overcharge. When you buy from a cell phone provider (let's use AT&T for example), they make you believe you are getting a super deal by giving you a new, locked phone at a fraction of the cost. The catch is you must sign on with them for usually a 2 year contract. It also give them full control over your phone so that you can't use another service provider. This translates into paying more than triple for the phone because you pay exorbitant monthly fees. Hey, if Walmart can sell an 'all inclusive, unlimited' plan for 50 bucks a month, why cant the likes of Sprint, At&t, Verizon, etc. It's called corporate greed. Their services are no different or better than the Straight Talk , Walmart plan.
Bottom line is you need an unlocked phone so that Straight Talk can pick up the signal and service your device.
What we all really need are laws that protect consumers from dirty schemes such as the cell phone conglomerate rip-off. If we purchase our phones, we should be free to use whatever service provider we choose.
If your Samsung S4 is unable to act as hot spot with Straight Talk, simply check your network settings.
yes
Straight talk or sprint
The Samsung Straight Talk phone has a menu allowing incoming calls to be blocked. It can be found as an option when the call comes in. An application can also be downloaded to do this.
From what I'm told, straight talk will be switching from Sprint to Verizon on this phone.
no
Yes as long as you use the straight talk sim and custom apn settings.
You use the serial number of your straight talk phone. That is your account number.
The Straight Talk service allows people to bring your own device. So, a Samsung Galaxy S3 should be compatible with Straight Talk, even if your phone was purchased through a carrier. For instance, if you purchased a phone through AT&T, and want to switch to Straight Talk, you can utilize the same AT&T network coverage if you pick a Straight Talk AT&T plan. Early termination fees may apply though if you choose to break off your contract to join Straight Talk.

Yes, you can use a Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4 that is on AT&T or Verizon network on a Straight Talk plan. You will need to unlock the phone before switching providers.
