Yes - for instance - if you drop your phone in water - dry it and leave it in a bag of rice and the rice will soak up all the moisture hope that helped :)
Rice prevents bits of moisture, it will not dry out the drenched phone sufficiently enough to make it work again. It only takes a fraction of a second for any moisture to penetrate a crack in a mobile phone casing, and that the phone is turned on, water being a conductor of electricity, will short out all electrical connections and render the phone useless. No amount of rice can undo an electrical short.
Until the phone works normally. Check the phone after several hours. It could take from overnight to a few days. Using rice to absorb the moisture from wet phones is usually effective.
I hear that if you put the cell phone in a ziploc bag filled with rice, it would take the moisture out. I think it would be a good idea to remove the battery for the time being also. Hope that helps :O)
A cell phone that gets moisture inside can lose memory and become inoperable. If a cell phone gets wet, the first thing to do is take the battery out of the phone. Then place both the phone and the battery in a bowl of uncooked rice, covering them completely. Let sit for 24 hours.
Power off the device (if it's not off already) and try to completely cover the iPod or iPhone in a bowl of rice. Rice being a natural desiccant will help absorb the excess moisture.
First, do not turn on the phone...leave it off. Take of the back of the phone and remove the battery. Get a towel and dry off the phone and the battery and try to remove as much liquid as possible. Next, put your phone in a plastic bag and fill it with rice...rice is a grain and will absorb the moisture! (But make sure to not but the battery in the bag with the phone and rice). Leave the phone in the rice for 1-3 days depending on how wet the phone got. Once you take the phone out of the rice, you can put the battery back in the phone and try turning the phone back on. If things go ok, and the phone was not too damaged by the tea...things should be fine. If there was too much damage to the phone, a new phone should be the next step.
There is a widely known secret that putting your phone even and Iphone in a bowl of rice after dropping you phone in water can help restore your phone. The rice will suck out the moisture from the phone.
rice is grown in alluvial soil which can retain moisture. from Ashith
well first take the battery out then you lay your phone down on a towel with t he side with the speakers so it will drain (note) your speakers might be a little damaged still. Place in a container of rice to absorb moisture and never turn on until you are completely sure that it's dry.
A small beanbag filled with rice will absorb moisture.
you cook your rice, and eat it with anything you like. rice goes with everything. throw the phone away you dont need it you need the rice.
