It depends which country you're in - and what their laws are. Here in the UK, it doesn't void your insurance - but - it does cost you penalty points on your licence and a fine. It would also increase your insurance premiums when your policy was up for renewal.
The penalties of using a mobile while driving in the UK are...
An automatic fixed penalty notice giving you 3 penalty point on your licence AND a fine of £100. If your case goes to court, you could be disqualified, and get a maximum fine of £1,000. Drivers of buses or goods vehicles could be fined a maximum of £2,500.
ANS2:
It depends on your insurance policy. Read your policy and find out. You could also talk to your insurance customer service--they will probably drop your coverage if you have no more sense than to tell them you plan to text and drive, though.
Using a mobile phone without a hands-free device while driving is illegal in many places. Texting while driving is especially dangerous.
A Picture Of Him...
My answer is no, especially when you its your first time to be apprehended.
Using your mobile while you are driving has a tenancy to make most people drive in an absent manner. their concentration is of and they are likely to react to an emergency much more slowly.
NO! Buy your own insurance! Or get him to!
mobile phones
no because if you drive whiles answering a mobile phone call accident can just occur
Yes, in some cases your insurance company will raise the rates on your policy if you receive a ticket for driving while using the cell phone. AAA offers discounts for safe drivers.
its internet that's used while "on-the-go" i.e. while driving
Because - if you're driving a vehicle - your only concern should be the safety of the people in your vehicle and the other road users ! Using a mobile-phone while driving reduces a drivers concentration - and distracts the driver from operating the vehicle safely. ANYONE who kills someone through using a mobile while driving - should be charged with murder ! Ask yourself the question - what's more important - using your phone or a person's life !
Even one is too many ! If you're driving a car you have no business using a mobile phone !! There should be a GLOBAL BAN on using a mobile while driving. You either drive the car or use the phone - not both !There should be much stiffer penalties for anyone causing an accident while texting. Here in the UK - offences range from 'driving without due care and attention' to 'causing death by dangerous driving'. Pesonally I'd like to see anyone killing a person because they were texting while driving, charged with at least manslaughter !
Don't use cellphone while driving ! Edit: Absolutely agree with the first answer. In the UK it's ILLEGAL to use a cellphone while driving. The current penalty is 6 points on your licence and £60 fine - for a first offence. You CAN lose your licence for repeat offences. WHY would you be using a mobile when driving anyway - If you're operating a vehicle, your SOLE responsibility should be complete concentration on the act of driving NOT using a mobile phone ! People DIE because drivers see their mobile phone as more important than paying attention to the road !
