The word Ninja is Japanese. Nin忍(stealth, paitient) and ja者(man). During tang dynasty China when Mongolians invaded Beijing some Chinese generals and monks escaped by boat to east and landed in Japan. It is said that a samurai met a chinese monk in the mountains of Iga and the monk thought the samurai a whole new fighting style in secret. This was called Ninjutsu. Nin忍(steath, perseverance)Jutsu術(The way,The art). Thats why the ninja had chinese influence. For example Dim mak(pressure points) are normally seen in kung fu movies. The ninja learned Dim Mak as well to kill opponents in 1 touch. Thats why Ninjutsu has Dim mak.
The Ninja also borrowed stealth tactics from the famous chinese general Sun Tsu
Many kung fu movies have mistakes normally the ones made by westerners. As seen in many movies a worrier dressed in black clothing which appears to be a ninja doing kung fu. That's a common mistake found in movies.
