Can two digital cable boxes be wired together so that you can watch tv on one channel and record on another channel at the same time?

Yes, connect the incoming coax cable to the input of a two way splitter box and the output coaxes to the input of the cable boxes.

How do you connect an old fashioned satellite cable from the wall to a new hd tv It currently goes from the wall to the satellite box but then a cable runs from the box to connect to a tv?

Not knowing where this wall cable goes TO or comes FROM prevents any more help. Would suggest you run a new cable to these two items.

How do you have two TVs in the same room with only one cable outlet?

You get a Splitter

Cable spliter for 3 TVs it worked fine until you hooked up a digital cable box now the other two rooms can must turn the tv to channel 3 and can only see the channel the box in turned to?

Sounds like you hooked the 3-way splitter to the RF out coax jack on the cable box, which only puts out rf on channel 3 and only what the box is tuned to in regards to programming. Hook up the line from outside to the input of the splitter, each output of the splitter to each cable box/tv input.

How do you hook up HDTV cable box?

If your cable box has a HDMI cable port, buy an HDMI cable to connect the TV to the cable box. The next best alternative is to use a S-Video cable with a pair of Audio cables. The third best alternative is to use a RF Coaxial cable. The last option is to use a composite Video and L/R Audio cables. You should note that while the TV may be HD capable, the cable box may not support HD so you will have to upgrade your cable box to a HD compatible cable box.

Can you use a remote on two TVs?

Well, yes you can, BUT..... If you are using a universal remote, then if they are not the same brand TVs then the codes you enter will not work unless you enter the code each time. Each brand of TV has a different code to use them on. If you are talking about your cable or fios, or dish remote, then the remotes will work with any set top box (meaning the box from the company). BUT, most cable remotes turn up and down the volume on the actual TV using the "brand code" I spoke about earlier. So worst case is that you can use it but not increase the volume on the TV. If you want to control the Cable volume, then in the settings of the cable box, there is a setting for volume, you can toggle it between fixed or variable.

How do you use a splitter to watch cable on two televisions?

You need a TV signal splitter. They're cheap and available just about everywhere, like Walmart, K-Mart, electronics stores. Just split the `antenna out' connection from the cable box. You'll also need a couple more signal wires (coaxial cables) otherwise you'll be two wires short of having what you need. One from the cable box to the splitter and then one for each TV.

You have basic cable no converter box Does this mean that the cable company will send out analog?

You must have a converter box. In my area I have a choice of two different cable companies, Time-warner, and Verizon FIOS. Verizon requires you use their box. My service was cut off a week ago and I am still trying to get them to send me a free box. You can also pay to lease their DVR, box. Time- warner will lease you a box as well with or without DVR, but you can also use an off the shelf box. I am sure that all other cable companies will be doing the same thing soon enough. Well, it depends. The guy on top needs a digital box to have cable. If you are like me, I got cable a long time ago and mine is just "connect the cable wire to the wall and to your tv"(I don't really know a lot about cable terms). I think comcast requires a box now. I do get a few channels, but not all, since it's basic. If you are talking about the digital transition, then you don't need to buy a digital coverter box, because you already have cable. The digital tranition on Feburary 17 only affects those who still have atenna tv.

What are some benefits of cable television over satellite television?

The benefits of cable over satellite is mainly the contract. With cable you are not forced to sign a 1 or two year contract to be able to watch tv. You will not have wires hanging all around your home with cable which can be annoying. Another thing is you can watch the same cable in many different rooms without having to rent additional cable boxes for other tvs. For cable television, you need only the cable box to connect the coaxial cable from the wall to your television. With satellite television, you need the receiver as well as the dish. Cable television will generally continue to be viewable during inclement weather, while satellite television will often go out during storms. With satellite television, you may periodically need to replace or reset the dish, as it can be knocked from its position or damaged.

How do you connect a DVD player and a video cassette player to the cable connection on TV?

Get a double sided A/V cable and connect it to the DVD player's A/V outlet and the other side to the tv's A/V outlet. Then you must get a male double sided coxal caple and connect to the VCR's coxal outlet then do the same for the tv. I hope this helps you. ;)

Can two competing cable or highspeed internet providers serve or cover the same household?

Yes, you can have DSL and a Cable modem installed at the same residience. The DSL would use a phone line to connect to the web and the Cable modem would use a coaxial cable, like the kind that plugs into your TV.

How to connect two theatre projectors for 3d effect?

Connecting two theater projectors for a 3d effect on movies and television is fairly easy. If both projectors are the same, then all you need are the proper cords to connect the two projectors together, and have the cords to hook up to the DVD/blue ray player, or cable box.
