Many people wonder" Do you have to move the drain in a tub to shower conversion?" Generally, it depends on how old your tub is and how much you space have. If you have an older tub, you may not care. However, if the tub is very damaged or leaky, you may have to remove the tub and replace it with a new one. For that, you can avail of the service tub to shower conversion, Bath Stone Shower offers such bath-to-tub service to its clients.

Before you begin any project, make sure you plan carefully. Make sure you're prepared for any complications before attempting a tub to shower conversion. Listed below are some things to keep in mind before getting started.

First, figure out whether the drain is in a hard-to-reach area. This may make it easier to lift and move the drain. If you have a hard-to-reach area, a floor plan may help you locate the drain. It may be necessary to cut a hole through the subfloor, or you can install a new drain and flange. Whatever you decide, make sure to waterproof the area. The drain is one of the most important parts of a bathtub to shower conversion, and it must be moved if you plan to remove the old tub.

What is the difference between a tub and shower bath?

A tub is a basin that is typically used for soaking or bathing while a shower bath is a combination of a bathtub and a shower in one unit. In a tub, you sit or lie down to bathe, while in a shower bath, you can choose to stand under the shower or use the bathtub for bathing.

Does the shower curtain go inside or outside of the bathtub?

I don't know if you are looking for any specific person, but if your question is why should you leave the shower curtain on the inside of the tub, the answer is simple. If you leave the shower curtain on the outside of the tub and take a shower, the water that runs down the curtain will be on the floor outside of the tub and you will have a mess to clean up. But if the curtain is on the inside of the tub, the water just runs out of the tub and thee is no mess to clean up. Conrad Hilton said it.

How does a shower curtain work?

A shower curtain is designed to prevent water from splashing outside the shower or tub area. When the water hits the curtain, it runs down into the tub, keeping the rest of the bathroom dry. The curtain typically hangs from a rod inside the shower or tub and can be easily drawn back for entry and exit.

What is the size of a stand up shower?

Will it cause water to leak down the pipe below your unit if yiu have a loose tiles and grout?

Yes. Tub or shower water entering the wall through loose tiles or grout can run down the pipes, through the holes the pipes are going though, and into the unit below. It is more common for water to get into the unit below from leaking shower doors or poorly used tub/shower curtains that allow water to leak out the face of the tub/shower. It then enters the gap where the tub/shower meets the floor, then builds up on the sub-floor, and eventually into the unit below.

What should the height of tile be in shower?

need a better description. the total height of shower and number of tiles may be helpful 5 ft over the tub. you may want to go a little higher to get a good cut around that shower head. Make it ez on yourself and make the height so ya get full tile(less cuts) that is if your going over the tub,if its a full walkin stand up shower go to the ceiling and tile the ceiling too. line it up with the walls or do a diagnal/diamond pattern on the ceiling so ya dont have to worry about lining it up. lay it out on the floor to see where your cut will be at 5ft.

The answer to that is yes, they do. I am a girl and I pee in a shower and bathtub, to practice peeing standing. All u do is pull down your pants and panties or take them off , squat or stand up in the tub/shower and pee right through! It is just as effective as doing the squat in a public restroom

The Benefits of a Walk-In Tub Shower?

A walk-in tub shower combination can help a senior citizen or a person with a defect that limits his mobility get clean more easily. The tub-shower combo works the same way as the more traditional tub and shower combos do. Controls on the front let a person adjust the temperature and flow of the water. The tub has a drain to let the user fill it up with water. The way a walk-in tower tub shower combo differs from a regular bath tub is that there will be a seat on the inside of the tub. A door opens on the side, much like a vehicle door. When this door is closed, the system becomes watertight. The sliding door lets a person walk in the tub without having to lifter or lower his legs. For people with arthritis, injuries, long-term conditions, the act of lifting the legs over the side of the tub can be difficult if not impossible. A person may require aid to get into or out of the shower. A walk-in shower tub combination removes the need for outside of assistance and helps such an individual regain some of independence that they lost or regain independence that they never had.Walk-in shower tub combos do not require much more space than the traditional shower, although the special construction does make them a little more expensive than they might be. Almost any home contractor can install a tub without too many difficulties. The pipes install to the same places they do in normal units that get installed in your bathroom.Contractors can finish the job for a few hundred dollars. The home owner or renter must still pay for the unit itself, although insurance or special programs may help a person get exactly what he or she needs. Other people can use the walk-in shower tub unit as a normal shower. The bench is just an added bonus.
