Hilariously, yes, the retina display in ipads is made by Samsung.
Apple and Samsung are incredibly fierce rivals, always arguing and headbutting each other. Apple pulled out of a deal with PayPal that could have earned them millions, just because PayPal is also partners with Samsung.
In the end, it looks like Samsung gets the laugh last, having their products installed into the device owned by a corporation that despises them.
