It depends on what you mean by BB guns. Remember there are also pellet guns to be considered. The average BB gun fires around 300 to 500 FPS (Feet per second) but some can attain a speed over 650 FPS. Pellet guns can reach the speed of 1,600 FPS. Airsoft guns are capable of speeds up to and above 600FPS but usually are around 200 to 400 FPS.
If you got shot with a Airsoft gun traveling at 300 FPS at about 15 feet it would hurt but if it was a smaller BB traveling a 300 FPS it would hurt more because the BB is smaller and the energy is driving a smaller projectile.
Lets talk about STRONG. I define Strong as "Knock down power" Large Pellet guns in the PCP (PerCharged Pneumatic) Class of rifles and guns, come in very large calibers. beyond .177 & .22 they also come in .9MM .45 Cal and 50 Caliber. These pellet guns are capable of bringing down a Moose, Boar or Deer and they are driven by AIR not gun powder.
Spring driven pellet guns / rifles can fire a projectile above 1,200 FPS and are used for small game and rodent control. Have you ever heard of an airsoft gun being used for hunting. Of course not!
So to answer your question, Yes: BB guns are stronger in most cases.
No.
Yes they come in both airsoft and pellet format. See the link Below for Spring Pellet pistols and Airsoft pistols
No- and it would be very dangerous to try. Pellet guns and airsoft are two very different things.
16
neither, also it doesn't matter which one is "stronger", if you have a a high FPS (strong), you can't play on fields
pellet=no bb's= 6mm plastic not copper.
The Beeman P-17 is a Pellet Pistol not an Airsoft Pistol. Airsoft shoot 6MM plastic BB's. The P-17 shoots .177 caliber Pellets at 410 Feet Per Second. (FPS) considerably faster and deadlier than any airsoft pistol. Do not shoot anyone else with a pellet pistol it could cause serious injury. If you are not sure how to shoot a pellet pistol find someone who understands shooting to teach you. Pellet pistols are beyond BB guns so the P-17 is NOT a BB gun. Be safe.
all you have to do is buy the gun after that do what you want
Feet per second, referring to how fast a BB pellet travels.
Yes if it's a Pellet or BB gun, not airsoft. It is possible.
The Crosman 357W is a pellet pistol not an Airsoft pistol.
A pellet Gun and a Air gun are the same thing. A pellet rifle and an air rifle are the same thing. You are most likely referring to a Pellet gun/rifle verses an Airsoft gun/rifle. Pellet guns fire a metal projectile up to 1.500 FPS (Feet per Second) and are used for target practice or hunting. Airsoft guns are capable of firing a 6mm plastic projectile up to 500 FPS and are designed to be used in Combat play where people shoot at each other. Much like Paintball only with less force. That's where the term "SOFT" come from. Unfortunately "AirSoft guns" are often mistakenly referred to as "air guns" when they should be referred to as 'AirSoft guns". Airsoft is considered more as a toy where "pellet air guns" are the next closest thing to a firearm with less power. Airsoft guns/rifles all have red tips to let everyone know that they can be shot at another person. Pellet air guns/rifles look similar to a firearm (NO RED TIP) and are never used in team play where people shoot at each other.
