Spring airsoft guns are generally starter guns. If you want a powerful gun, get a c02 or gasoline/propane powered gun. However, most airsoft sniper rifles do use spring (bolt-action) firing speeds, and you can get Sniper rifles for as cheap as 50$ in the U.S.. Look for rifles with 400-500 fps for optimal power.
Well, so far the biggest kicking guns I've seen was the WE MK16 (scar) or other WE Rifles there gas rifles meaning they take green gas or propane.
From my experience the CYMA CM028 is the most durable gun. It isn't the most powerfull or capable but that thing will last you forever.

No. Aspects which determine how powerful an airsoft gun is actually it's spring (stronger/harder the spring means bigger fps), compression (better compression = better fps), and weight of the BBs we use (heavier BBs in the same fps can deliver bigger energy).Edit: If a gun that is automatic in real life is spring and very inexpensive, it is probably cheaply made and therefore almost definitely weak.
