FFA is a Organization founded in 1928 and originally stood for the Future Farmers of America, but since the FFA now consists of so much more than just farming it is simply the National FFA Organization. In this organization students can compete in many different contests ranging from Forestry and Horse-Judging to Dairy Food, Speech, and even a quiz bowl. FFA stands for Future Farmers of America, It was founded in 1928 by a group of young farmers to help prepare their future generations to work on the farm. Although now only about 5% of those in FFA will still choose the hard life of a farmer, FFA members have gone off in all branches for careers, such as politics, managers, started their own businesses, and much, much more. It can help you get scholarships into college and have a benefit on life for you. FFA is a middle school and high school, (known as 4-H in elementary), depending on how your school's FFA chapter is you can have a variety of agricultural teams you can be on. These include horse judging, nursery and landscape, and even being able to raise an animal and show it in a fair for a a chance to win money. For the cheap fee it costs to join, I would say go for it! I'm currently a member and i find it a great club to be in.
