How do you find antique Plymouth vin numbers?
I have no experience with Plymouth's but my '55 olds has a plate located under the hood passenger side on top of the fire wall with the vin. Most cars have a plate of some kind with ID. numbers. Some are located inside the door panels, so look around carefully.
Nope! But that's a subjective answer. If your GrandPa had one and you really thought it was cool, then yes, restore it. Otherwise, it's not one the desirable antique collectable autos.
How do you find top dead center on a Plymouth flathead six?
Assuming this is a critical measurement needed to verify timing marks, remove the spark plug that is located over engine cylinder number 1. There are two basic steps to follow. First, to manually rotate the engine crankshaft to identify the compression stroke for the number 1 piston. Second, to find Top Dead Center (TDC) using both a straw and a Dial Indicator.
To Identify the Compression Stroke - Install a compression gauge in the threaded spark plug hole. If a compression gauge is not available, then place your thumb tightly over the hole. Manually rotate the engine crankshaft in the "run" direction. Pressure will build inside the cylinder when both the intake and exhaust valves are closed and as the piston rises toward the head. This is the compression stroke. Stop rotating the engine. Remove the compression gauge.
To Find Top Dead Center - Before using a Dial Indicator in the next step, place a long plastic straw or similar item into the spark plug hole. While the straw rests on top of the piston, rotate the engine and observe the vertical movement of the straw. It will rise toward a maximum height. Any further rotation will lower the straw. Slightly backup the rotation to bring the straw to a point where it is approximately 1/2 inch lower than its maximum height. Now position a Dial Indicator over the spark plug hole. It may be necessary to extend the length of the Dial Indicator plunger so that its tip will touch the top of the piston (as did the straw). Slowly rotate the crankshaft while watching the indication on the Dial indicator. Top Dead Center is indicated by a maximum reading on the Dial Indicator.

Several hundred Savoys and Belvederes still exist in the popular 2 dr HT version. Thousands of sedans, four doors and four door hardtops, most sitting around being used for parts or waiting for restoration. Genuine Furys that have not been cloned probably number less than 100. Price for a nice 2 dr HT Belvedere or Savoy will run close to $20K, up to $35K if it is a "Christine" clone. A genuinely restored Fury will be from $40K for a nice driver up to $75K or more for show quality. A genuine Fury that has been "Chrsitined" will run around $40K. 2 dr sedans, 4 dr models are almost always in the $2500-$7500 range depending on condition.

How do you remove a broken dipstick tube that broke off flush with the engine?
I don't know how far the tube penetrated into your block but something i would try is to get a sharp and small three conered file and try to file down the length of the tube . once you've cut through the entire length i would try to get a small pick or screwdriver and peel out the rest of the tube, perhaps using a magnet to help. worth a try- jack
