The 2012 Summer Olympic programme features 26 sports and a total of 39 disciplines. London's bid featured 28 sports, in line with other recent Summer Olympics, but the IOC voted to drop baseball and softball. The IOC considered new sports of karate, squash, golf, roller sports and rugby sevens, but none received enough votes to reach the required two-thirds majority. [Golf and Rugby sevens will be added in 2016.]

Women's boxing will be added to the programme. Forty athletes will compete in five different weight classes.

There is not one. In the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, Germany has a female gymnast competing at the age of 33.

I really depends on how many athletes qualify for each event. The more populas the country the more athletes they will send to the games. Each event has pre qualifiing rounds leading up to the olpymics. If a county qualifies then they can send those athletes to the games.

It's actually only a possibility that she will be singing, and she is a Vocaloid. A Vocaloid is an electronic voice based off of a real singers voice, that is given a personality and an image. Hatsune Miku is one of the most popular and one of the oldest Vocaloids. If she does sing she will represented with a hologram, like at the live Vocaloid concerts.

These divers, as well as divers from many other countries, are wearing Kinesio Tape, which is used to help manage pain for a variety of bone, muscle, and joint issues.

At the end of each Olympic Games, the mayor of that host-city presents the flag to the mayor of the next host-city. It then rests at the town hall of the next host-city for four years until the Opening Ceremony of their Olympic Games. Every time a country hosts the Olympics, a new emblem is created, with new meaning behind its conception.

Olympic host cities are chosen by the Olympic Committee. Cities that want to host the game submit a proposal which the committee examines, and based on a long list of criteria, selects the one they believe is best suited to host the games.

Statford was a good place to choose for the Olympics because it is spacious and it has a n effiecient transport system.

Since then no man has held the world records in the 100m and 200m at the same time, until Usain Bolt in 2008. Almost 50 years later!
