"Each vehicle equipped with a keypad is programmed with a 5-digit entry code. This code is provided to the customer through a wallet card in the Owner's

Literature package. In addition, this code is available through a scan tool and is also printed on the SJB label. When entering codes, each digit must be entered within 5 seconds of the previous button press."

All you need to do is remove the floor console finish panel. This is the big long plastic piece that forms the top part of your center console, and extends from the storage tray underneath the climate controls back to your cupholders, and up to the center console armrest. In order to remove this piece and get your code, do the following:

1. With a non-marring tool, pry up the chrome trim piece around the shifter.

2. Remove the storage tray from underneath the center console armrest, and leave the armrest cover open

3. Grab the center console finish panel near the front cupholders and pull straight up. This piece is only held in place with a few tabs.

4. Pull the finish panel up and back, and set it aside.

5. Once this is done, you should be able to see the Smart Junction Box (SJB) to the right and slightly ahead of the gear shifter.

6. On the left side of the SJB (i.e., facing inwards in the center console), there should be a label with a bar code that says "FoMoCo". In the bottom left corner (mine was upside down, so it was the top right corner), there should be a 5 digit number printed. This is the factory keypad code.

7. Before you put anything back together, close and lock your doors (make sure you have your keys), and try entering this code to verify that you did get the right number. Your doors should unlock, and you can then put everything back together.

8. Follow the owner's manual instructions for entering your own personal codes. I would add that you need to pull quite hard on the center console, try to get it to break loose on one side first. Have courage, it seemed unremovable at first. Also I used a plastic putty knife to remove the chrome trim piece, work it up slowly working from all four sides.

Typically, worn brake pads won't cause the warning light to come on. Some vehicles have a brake fluid sensor that can cause the light to come on. Also make sure the parking brake is completely releasing and if you have ABS, make sure everything is working there. Uneven brake pressure will certainly cause the brake light to come on, that's when the master cylinder is working a lot harder for one circuit (front or back) than it is for the other, indicating either low brake fluid level or damaged/worn wheel cylinders. If you can't find anything by examining the brakes, you may need to pay for a scan of the ABS computer.

MapQuest estimates the driving time as 13 hours and 2 minutes.

You can get a cheap key made at the hardware store but it will only unlock the doors it won't start it because it does not have a chip in it. mike

I just spent half a day (and would have spent $332.27 to let the dealer fix it if they had the parts in stock) and finally found the answer. The Ford Escapes have had this issue for years and have never recalled because of it. Look under the front seats (my problem was on the passenger side), find the yellow wire and just make sure it is firmly connected. I only had to push it in and now the airbag light is not on. you have air in your brakes bleed them

For almost 15 years I've used nothing but Motorcraft air filters on my 1995 Ford

Sure as long as you get the right connections - you might have to get a different electrical adapter though

you have to buy the plug-in cord (for the block heater) separately. Block heater is about $34.00 CDN and the cord is about $75.00 CDN. The cord has the regular end to plug into your electrical socket and the other end has a special plug end for the heater.

Both wheels should be at the same temp. If one is much hotter than the other check brakes for binding (sticking on), wheel alignment, wheel bearing failing. Its normally brakes and they just need stripping and cleaning. Do both wheels though

To be 100% sure I would contact the dealer. I do know however, that if there is an item or person that does not meet the proper weight requirement for the front seat that the airbag will turn off automatically.

The weight limit varies from year to year and model to model. Is the F150 in question a two wheel drive or a four wheel drive? Are you refering to towing capacity or hualing capacity? The Ford.com web site should give you all the answers you need. Good luck!

GM vehicle?? Turn key to on (do not start). Push accelerator to floor 3 times. Light will flash to tell you it knows to turn off light.

The 225 / 65 / R17 is 28.5 inches in diameter and the section width is 8.9 inches

The 235 / 70 / R16 is 29 inches in diameter and the section width is 9.3 inches

So , the 235 / 70 R16 is slightly taller and wider

Couple things to check are front end alignment, tire balance & pressure, and bent rims. Good Luck and Remember.

The light can be reset with a code reader by any mech & is usually done at time of service. On some cars, disconnecting batt. long enough will reset them, although sometimes come back on.

I have a 2010 and it does the same thing, only owned it for 3 weeks! I'm taking it back to the dealership

I have a 1994 Lexus ES300 and when my brake light came on, it meant that one of my brakes lines had busted. Eventually I had NO brakes. Not sure if this would apply to yours. Get it checked out before it is to late.

A vehicle traveling 60 mph travels 88 feet in one second. In order to be able to see, evaluate and make decisions about situations at night, one should be able to see clearly at least six seconds ahead. That works out to about 175 yards minimum -- the more the better. That's with LOW beams. High beams should extend your vision out to at least a quarter of a mile.

Just disconnect the positive battery cable for a few minutes then reconnect it. It will reset the computer back to default settings, from that point on it will start to fine tune itself from the various inputs from all the engine sensors.

Looking up from oil filter and catalytic converter as the place to look from the number is stamped on the edge. Torch is needed.
