Because quantitative observations focus on Money or quantity rather than the opposite. Hope that makes sense.

What are some distinct advantages of a qualitative data gathering strategy such as participant observation over more quantitative approaches?

What are some distinct advantages of a qualitative data gathering strategy, such as participant observation, over more quantitative approaches

Is age qualitative or quantitative data?

Age is quantitative because it has an actual numerical value. Anything with a definitive value is quantitative. Qualitative data is more like an observation, such as color or appearance. I remember this by thinking that qualitative sounds like qualities and quantitative sounds like quantities. Hope this helps.

What are the differences between quantitative and qualitative?

Quantitative means measurable and/or a reference to a specific amount.Examples of quantitative data:3kg1l9lbsQualitative means data that are more easily (or only) expressed by description and not measurementsExamples of qualitative:"My ball is red.""That sword is sharp."

What is quantitative variable?

Quantitative comes from the word "quantity" meaning an exact amount. A quantitative variable, or answer, is one where an exact numerical value is expected, such as, Liz has 4 dogs. 4 is the quantitative value. Contrast this with qualitative, where an amount is given but without exact numbers. i.e. Liz has MORE dogs than Sue. * * * * * Or even Liz has Labradors, while her parents have Great Danes.

Which approach do you think should be relied on more heavily for strategy formulation quantitive or qualitative?

The quantitative approach
