∙ 13y agoPresuming that you mean 500lbs of honey taken off a hive then it would probably represent 4 or 5 years honey production. But it could be more or less depending on the quality of summer weather and available forage for the bees.
This is a difficult question for several other reasons:
I hope that helps a bit. It is a complex topic so if you are interested please do take the time to read an introductory book for beekeeping - you will find it fascinating.

One brood box and as many supers as you need.
It varies enormously from apiary to apiary. The main factors are the amount of forage available to the bees in the area and how hard the bees work so it can be anything between nothing at all to around 200 pounds.
Bees frequented the daisies the most because daisy pollen has an odor that is attractive to bees.
There are approximately 4500-5000 honey bees in a pound. So in 3 pounds, there would be around 13,500-15,000 honey bees.
No, but some bumble bees do. In the wild honey bees would be in natural cavities such as holes in trees.
honey hence the name honey bees Honey bees also produce bees wax by converting honey.
Why would you want to do that
Honey badgers rely on bees for food, particularly the honey and larvae found in beehives. They have developed a specialized adaptation where they are able to withstand bee stings, allowing them to access this food source. Without bees and their honey, the survival of honey badgers would be impacted.
It takes about 12 bees their entire lifetime to produce a single tablespoon of honey. Bees collect nectar from flowers, bring it back to the hive, and then fan it with their wings to evaporate the water content, turning it into honey.
Honey comes from Bees like Honey Bees.

No, honey bees are not the only bees that make honey. The bees in question (Apis spp) just happen to be the most famous of the world's natural honey-makers. Other apian examples include bumble and stingless bees.
every spring and summer, bees produce over 10,000 pounds of honey each year. but scientific studies show that bees don't accutally eat honey. they just invent it. so every year we get lots of honey!another way bees are very benificial is that flowers can't survive without them.the pollen in the the flowers NEEDS to be taken out in order for it to grow. so because of bees we have flowers and honey.
