How were Ellis and angel islands different?

River, which is located in New York. Angel Island is located in San
Francisco Bay. Both Ellis Island and Angel Island operated as
Immigration stations. Angel Island had immigrants from Asia, mainly
from China and Japan. Ellis Island had mainly immigrants from
Europe. Ellis Island opened in 1892, while Angel Island opened in
1910. Angel Island was called the "Ellis Island of the West." Angel
Island was designed to constrict the immigration flow of the
Chinese.
