AnswerIf we look at the number of entirely implausible Christian traditions that have grown up over the centuries, is there any wonder that some choose to doubt Christians on matters of religion? According to Christian tradition, each of the disciples of Jesus (other than John, who supposedly escaped miraculously from being boiled in oil) died a horrible death as a martyr. For example, Matthew was either burnt alive, beheaded or stoned to death. It would help if Christians could even agree on how their heroes died. The second-century Pope Anicetus, who wished to demonstrate that he spoke with the authority of Peter, reported that Peter had been beheaded in Rome but, a century later, Origen changed this to say that Peter was sentenced to crucifixion but, feeling unworthy of being crucified like Jesus, asked to be crucified upside down. Some could believe from all this that there are Christians who would say whatever it takes, to achieve the advancement of Christianity or to advance their role in the Church.

People may doubt Christians for a variety of reasons, including discrepancies between their beliefs and actions, negative experiences with Christians or the church, or conflicting ideologies. Some may also question the validity of religious beliefs in an increasingly secular society.

Why do Muslim parents encourage their children not to like christians?

Muslims do not encourage their children not to like Christians. Christians and Jews are people of the book as mentioned in the Quran and the people closer to Muslims are Christians as mentioned in the Quran. Muslims are allowed to marry Christians and Jews as they are people of the book. It is therefore a misconception on your part to think that Muslims are encouraged not to like Christians!
