In the 1980s it was odd (but attractive) to see a tall man because most were around 5' 6" tall to 5' 10" at the very most. My great-grandfather was 6' 1" tall back then and was considered tall. Today many of the teens are much taller than their parents and at least in Canada the average height here for most teens is 5' 6" for a female and 6' or over for males. Their body shapes have also changed and both males and especially young women mature early at a rapid growth rate.
