It all depends on what type of underwear I'm wearing. If i've got on tighty whities, I'd rather get a wedgie. Yes, it'll be painful, but at least people won't see the lower half of my underwear and won't know that it's a pair of white briefs. They'll just assume that it's a pair of white boxer briefs. In my experience, no wedgie can possibly be as bad as having my friends find out that I'm a tighty whities wearer.
If I have on boxers or boxer briefs, then pantsing would be better, cause people are far less likely to ridicule when they see your wearing boxers or boxer briefs, so getting pantsed while wearing them is no big deal.
