I believe it depends on what state you reside, but if you legally haven't finished the contract to pay for the car and have sold the motor and transmission out of it.. you are responsible for the cost. They will sell the car, putting in a motor and transmission and auction it off to the highest bidder. Even if that is not what is left owed on the car. You will be legally responsible for the rest due. Whatever that amount is. It does depend on your state though I would check with your local courthouse. When you purchase a vehicle and obtain a title loan, you are obligated under the terms of the agreement to keep the vehicle in running condition. If you remove parts from the vehicle you can be held responsible for the full price of the vehicle and it is conceivable that the courts may impose criminal charges for your actions. They cannot impose "criminnal charges" on you for removing the transmission and motor. It is contract law not criminal law which governs this.
A friend of mine has gone past the 200,000 mile mark on his 2000 F-150 ( he just had another TRANSMISSION put in his vehicle )
My vehicle is starting to pull to the right. I hear the noise, and a couple of people said that my motor mount is gone. I have no idea where it is.
Usually when a car has issues moving from park or neutral it is an early sign that the transmission has gone out. The transmission is responsible for helping the vehicle change gears and move.
Circuit breaker for all on most cars. The motor has probably gone bad. What vehicle do you have??? Y-THINK-Y
Call the honda dealership, give them your Vehicle Identification Number (located on the frame), and they can tell you exactly what it is.
Means to start the engine while it is cold (And has not been running for a few hours so the engine has gone cold)
There is supposed to be a gap there to access the flex plate. More than likely the front seal on the transmission has gone bad or the torque converter has a leak in it.
That really depends on how you treat your vehicle. Type of vehicle, size of motor, FWD RWD. Most last 50,000 miles. One way to tell if they have gone bad is a loud clunk sound when you accelerate hard. That is the engine jumping and hitting the sides of the motor mount.
transmission is gone.
The transmission is a 4 speed computer controlled model. If your transmission starts shifting erratic or not at all, then make sure you or a shop run a scanner on the vehicle. You want to see if you have a sensor that has gone bad, causing your problems. The vehicle speed and transmission range sensors like to go bad on vehicles with these transmissions in them.
when it does not work
Transmission has gone out most likely
