When a blizzard is about to happen, people get their shovels, plows and salt ready. A lot of plowing and shoveling happens after blizzards. It can sometimes take a day, or days, or weeks to clear the resulting snow, and often clean up tree damage and restore power losses, depending on the amount of snow accumulation and the resources of the community affected.
