It's complex because people want different things, including women, and often we want equality in one area but not in others. We need each other but we don't always understand each other, not just gender wise. All discrimination, and communication, is complex, because we want different things and it is hard to sacrifice our own needs for others' needs or adjust our behavior to our audience.
