The KKK came to an end in the 1920s through corruption from within the Klan itself and society. The Klan's more violent activities (such as lynchings, robbings, and burnings) started to offend the conscience of Americans and membership decreased. That, along with numerous accounts of fraud, sexual scandals, accusation of crimes, and money mishandling led to the demise of the KKK.

One of the paradoxes can be the alcohol issue where, the country at the beginning of the 1920s was supporting prohibition of alcohol sales and by the end of the 1920s the people showed much hypocrisy and switched their views on prohibition which turned out as a huge failure. The part of paradox would come from the hypocrisy of people and the quick change of mindset based on prohibition.

The group of KKK has ended, but their are still a few people who believe in the KKK ways. They just have no way to put their beliefs into action because we are now all considered equal. Sadly, somebody, somewhere, will always probly believe in the KKK ways.
