Cotton is probably a renewable resource (it can be grown every year). But it needs a lot of water and farmland. It is sometimes better called a sustainable resource, meaning it is renewable if we look after it properly.

No, it's renewable because its grown in cotton fields. However, like other renewable resources around the world, it is wise to maintain cotton levels and not to use too much and allow it to run out.

A non-renewable resource is something that cannot be used again once its global supply has run out.

There are three non-renewable resources:

  • Coal
  • Oil
  • Natural Gas
