What makes Sony XPLOD Subwoofers so bad?
They arent bad. They have one of the best sounds you can get for
your money, but they arent anything like a kicker or an alpine
*************
Correction: For the money Sony isn't worth it: would you rather
spend $250 on a subwoofer that will last for 10 years that's not an
Xplod OR get a Sony Xplod and have to replace it every six months
for $60 each time? Sony spends too much money on making the
subwoofer look "cool" and "awesome," whereas companies like Digital
Design and Fi don't have a marketing department. The build quality
is poor and the materials are mediocre.
