The best you can do is tell your teacher the real truth. You will make the situation worse if you lie. Trust me, I lied and I got in more trouble than if i told her i didn't do it. So tell her the truth. Your teacher should be your friend.
Don't get in trouble in the first place is the best advice. And if you do, try to be on your best behavior and exhibit your best work.

Anything can get you in trouble if it is against the law. for example if you steal you can get into trouble. Any unlawful act can lead you into trouble and the best way is to follow the law.
