Selenophobia is literally a "fear of the moon"- I have a different kind of fear though closely associated with this kind of phobia, however a bit more complex.

Since I was young until now I love the moon, watching it and enjoying its mysterious glow of moonlight at night.

But I'm very afraid to sleep at night seeing the moonlight. I tend to be a lunatic covering my window with heavy curtain and another double layer curtain to make sure that not even one ray of moonlight can enter my room at night.

One early morning around 2:00 am I woke up seeing the light of full moon in my face, my house help actually open the curtains to let the cool wind enter my room. I panicked all sweating coldly and my whole body is trembling, I rush to my window closing the window pane and those layer of curtains. After that I just sat in my chair facing the window staring at my closed curtain, slowly I felt comforted not seeing any moonlight upon me, until Ive fallen asleep in my chair.

I'm not really afraid of the moon, but I'm only very much afraid of moonlights inside my bedroom shining on me before I sleep. I really don't know the meaning of this, until now i still fear moonlight when I'm sleeping.
