Some people say that it is not ok. It is said that every time you poke yourself with a sharpy pen, you lose 1 minute of your life. This may just be a lie made up so people don't draw on themselves with sharpies or something.

Well, sure if you are writing an autobiography then you have to write about yourself but in an essay, I would say find a topic to write about that would make people excited to hear, something that is original and weird and stupid and unusual at the same time. Just think of what kids these days love to hear about that is "appropriate" for school. But you can think of something original if you try.

It is generally safe to write on your skin with Sharpies, as they are non-toxic and designed for use on surfaces like skin. However, it's always a good idea to test a small area first for any potential allergic reactions or skin sensitivities. Also, avoid getting ink into any open cuts or wounds.
