Melbourne's quite sunny mostly. Summer can be a bit hot, 30 degrees celsius. winter gets colder, about 14 or 17 degrees celsius during the day. It rarely snows in suburbia and never in the city. Sometimes it snows in the mountains.

Melbourne is quite busy, with the population being about 3,800,000, but its quite spread out . Melbourne is very near the coast or beach . It's on the coast of Port Phillip Bay. People are generally quite laid-back. ______ Melbourne is a large spawling city, the second largest in Australia, and is the capital of Victoria. It is located at the head of Port Phillip Bay, which includes a major international shipping terminal and is a fishermans paradise (when they are biting). The summers are hot and the winters are cool. The rainfall is usually adequate, but we have been suffering a drought for the past 12 years. Melbourne is known for its parks and gardens and its upside down river, the Yarra. Its world famous trams are an integral and growing part of the public transport network. Since the 1960's, Melbourne has become very decentralised and has major shopping centres in many suburbs. The road network has grown and improved with freeways and ring roads crossing the city with bicycle tracks and walking tracks. There are major modern sporting arenas for various sports all across Melbourne. There are Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants everywhere with many ethnic restaurants demonstrating Melbourne's multicultural lifestyle due to the large influx of immigrants from all over the world. The cost of housing is amongst the highest in Australia and inner city apartments have become very popular. There is a Fire Truck or an Ambulance within 5 to 10 minutes of most Melbourne homes and businesses. Melbourne has been listed as "The World's Most Liveable City" several times now. I have travelled the world and Australia and have seen a lot of places I like, but none that I would prefer to call home.
