It from time to time appears to be a crystalline powder whilst dried, and it converts to sorbic acid whilst dissolved in water. Not like other amazing preservatives including potassium metabisulfite, potassium metabisulphite, and sodium metabisulphite, potassium sorbate does no longer supply off a sulfur-like scent .

Considering the fact that it's far ph structured, its interest varies from one stage of ph to any other. Potassium sorbate is maximum active at ph 4.4 with 70% pastime, 37% productive in ph. 5.0, and works with restricted hobby of 6% at ph 6. Maximum formulations consist of an acetic acid of their mixture to modify the overall ph of products .

But that is Wrong, wrong and mister wrong!

It is red because it has chemical colorants inside !!!!

Each mL contains: bismuth subsalicylate 17.6 mg.

and Nonmedicinal ingredients: benzoic acid, D&C Red No. 22, D&C Red No. 28, flavour, magnesium aluminum silicate, methylcellulose, sodium saccharin, salicylic acid, sodium salicylate, sorbic acid and water. (these ingredients add to flavor, color, and preservatives)

Bismuth subsalicylate occurs as white or nearly white, tasteless, odorless powder and contains about 58% bismuth. It is insoluble in water, glycerin and alcohol, therefore, it is artificial coloring which is responsible for its distinctive pink color.

If there is nothing to metabolize, which is what yeast are doing with sugar, then they will most likely not grow and not produce any CO2. With that said, there are many strains that can continue to grow and reproduce with other chemical sources, not all of which create CO2 as a bi-product. That is to say, that sugar is not the only thing they can "eat."

to produce natural and artificial flavors, as other food additives at a commercial-scale such as: Natural sweeteners, Artificial sweeteners (neotame, rebiana, thaumatin), Natural and artificial flavors, Starches, Antioxidant, Adipic Acid (most of the adipic acid found in the food supply is synthetic), Propylene glycol alginate (thickening agent: soda pop, salad dressing, ice cream), Food Dye (Food colouring is made of synthetic and natural dyes). Chemical engineers invented the many automated processes needed to concentrate, freeze, dehydrate, and otherwise process such foods. Nitrites and nitrates of sodium and potassium maintains pink color in cured meats, and prevents botulism in canned foods. Sorbic acid [E200] and sorbates [E202 for Potassium sorbate ,E203 for Calcium sorbate] prevent mould formation in cheese. Ascorbic acid or vitamin C helps maintain the red color of cured meat and prevents the formation of nitrosamines, which promote cancer. Salt retards bacterial growth on cheese and butter.

No, there is currently no research to back that any of the ingredients in Monster Absolute Zero are harmful or dangerous. Caffeine and similar chemicals can have adverse effects and cause problems but a can of Absolute Zero shouldn't be any more harmful than a cup of coffee!

The Ingredients: CARBONATED WATER, CITRIC ACID, ERYTHRITOL, NATURAL FLAVORS, TAURINE, SODIUM CITRATE, PANAX GINSENG ROOT EXTRACT, COLOR ADDED, L-CARNITINE - L-TARTRATE, CAFFEINE, SORBIC ACID, SUCRALOSE, BENZOIC ACID, NIACINAMIDE, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM, SODIUM CHLORIDE, GLUCURONOLACTONE, INOSITOL, GUARANA SEED EXTRACT, PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE, RIBOFLAVIN, MALTODEXTRIN, CYANOCOBALAMIN.

Some of the ingredients are infact beneficial: Plenty of Vitamins and L-Carnitine has some very interesting weight loss effects.

So they are not really anymore dangerous than a cup of coffee and the ingredients look much safer than a can of diet soda e.g no aspartame. I personally drink a can of Absolute Zero daily anyways and have had no problems health wise accept some decent weight loss as the energy drink cures my urge to eat junk food and sugary crap.

Answering whether emulsifiers are Halal can be tricky.

Generally, emulsifiers are a general class of chemicals/additives that are used by food and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Just to name a few, emulsifiers may be used as an anti-coagulant, anti-foaming, anti-caking, preservatives, bulking and etc....Therefore for most industrial production, the need for emulsifiers are extremely critical.

They may either be written in code numbers Eg: E471, E200, E572 etc... Or the other form is the actual chemical name itself Eg: Soya Lecithin, Sorbic Acid, Sodium Acetate, etc....

The production method for each emulsifier differs. Some emulsifiers are derived from animals or plants while others are fully synthetic. In some situations, an emulsifier with the same chemical name may be produced with different methods of production and source material in rival production houses. This is usually based on efficiency issues and the availability of source materials.

Therefore, it is best to go for food that have been certified HALAL as best as you can, as these food (even the emulsifiers that have been used in production) have been checked and verified by an authorised and trusted personnel.

We can also check with the organization that produces the food items. Big organizations usually have a dedicated team to answer all your queries. It is our consumer right to know what we have bought and consume.

Hope this helps.
