Unless.someone's maintaining some secrets; the only WWII tanks used in the French War (1st Indochina War) were US supplied (to the French) M24 Chaffee light tanks, and some left over Japanese WWII Type 95 light tanks.
(The above is incorrect: the French also used H-39, M5 Stuart and M4 Sherman tanks of WWII vintage in Indochina).
Besides, Tiger & Panther tanks had teething problems for their own crewmen! They were new and experimental.
(This also is incorrect. Panthers had been in use since mid-'43 and Tigers from late '42 - they were neither new nor "experimental").
The Panzer Mk IV was commonly more exported, Israel may have been supplied with some in either 1948 or the 1950s. The chances of a Mk IV (or III) being in Indochina would be more believable than a Panther.
Whilst the french did use panther tanks at the end of ww2 this was only for a brief period. My understanding is they used them in small numbers in France from 45 to no later than 1950, although I am very uncertain on this date, logic suggests that they could not have used them in large numbers or for too long as their ability to get spares to repair them would get harder as time progressed.
Well having just written this I immediatly found out that the French used panthers from 45 to 52 in the following formations 503rd RCC and the 6e Cuirs.

Sikhism is given a clear "Theo-democratic" system of law. Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Tenth Master, in his farsightedness knew that not all crimes are the same and thus no one punishment can be given for them at all: does the thief who steals bread due to hunger receive same punishment as one who steals a car due to greed? No! Thus Guru Gobind Singh Ji said:
"The Khalsa is my true form, I abide within the Khalsa"
Guru jee gave power to decide these things to the Khalsa in the form of the Panj Piaaray (5 initiated selected Sikhs). The Panj Piaaray look at each case and then give a case-by-case decision. There are no blanket amputations for everyone as some religions may prescribe. There are rehitnaamas and tankhaahnaamas (edicts and codes of conduct) dictated by Guru Gobind Singh jee that clearly outline what is right and what is wrong. For example, adultery is a 'bajjar kurehat', a cardinal sin, for which a Sikh is excommunicated from the Panth (Community) and if they wish to become a member of the Panth again, they must then present themselves before the Panj Piaaray to be re-initiated and and given corrective measures.
Even beyond the Rehitnaamas and Tankhaahnamas, there is the concept of Miri-Piri: temporal and spiritual aspects to Gurmat, i.e. a Theo-political system. Guru Hargobind Sahib jee gave us the Sikh parliament of Sri Akaal Takhat. The Sarbat Khalsa (entire Khalsa) is the parliament and the motions passed are called "Gurmattas". A system of passing gurmattas is carried out by consulting Sri Guru Granth Sahib jee and then voting on each motion. The Five Takhats are the Centres of Sikh power with the main headquarter being Sri Akaal Takhat. The Five Jathedaars (representatives) are the "cabinet" of the Panth and organise the Panth's movement. The Jathehdaar of Sri Akaal Takhat (Amritsar) has power as spokesperson of the Panth. Akaalee Baba Phoola Singh, for example, was Jathehdaar during Maharaja Ranjeet Singh's time and gave him punishment of a fine and a caning due to his adultery.
Thus it is clear that Sikhism does have a law in Rehitnaamas and Tankhaahnaamas along with the Rehit (code of discipline), which is given during Amrit Sanchaar (initiation ceremonies). Local decisions are to be taken by Panj Piaaray, which can be appealed to the Takhats, and Sri Akaal Takhat takes final decisions. The collective Sikh parliament is Sarbat Khalsa and motions are called Gurmattas.

Wazir Khan, an official of Sirhind who had ordered the death of Guru Gobind Singh's youngest two sons, later sent assassins to kill the guru. They found the guru in Nanded and attacked him after his evening prayer, stabbing him beneath his heart. Guru Gobind Singh fought and killed his assailant. Sikhs rushed to his aid and killed the second man. The wound began to heal after but reopened several days later when the guru attempted to use his bow. Realizing his end had come, Guru Gobind Singh assembled his Sikhs and instructed them that the scripture of the Granth should forever be their irreplaceable guru and guide.
Seeing his end was near, the Guru declared the Granth Sahib as the next Guru of the Sikhs,. He then sang his self-composed hymn:
"Agya bhai Akal ki tabhi chalayo Panth Sabh Sikhan ko hukam hai Guru manyo Granth Guru Granth Ji manyo pargat Guran ki deh Jo Prabhu ko milbo chahe khoj shabad mein le Raj karega Khalsa aqi rahei na koe Khwar hoe sabh milange bache sharan Jo hoe."
Translation of the above:
"Under orders of the Immortal Being, the Panth was created. All the Sikhs are enjoined to accept the Granth as their Guru. Consider the Guru Granth as embodiment of the Gurus. Those who want to meet God can find Him in its hymns. The Khalsa shall rule, and its opponents will be no more, those separated will unite and all the devotees shall be saved."

The principal belief of Sikhism is faith in waheguru-represented using the sacred symbol of ēk ōaṅkār, the Universal God. Sikhism advocates the pursuit of salvation through disciplined, personal meditation on the name and message of God. A key distinctive feature of Sikhism is a non-anthropomorphic concept of God, to the extent that one can interpret God as the Universe itself. (sourse wikipedia)

Khalsa was initiated from the Greater Sikh Panth by the tenth Guru. The atrocities carried on by the Muslim rulers that is the Mughals were on the increase and as a result of there atrocities two of the Sikh Gurus were martyred by the hands of the bigoted Mughal rulers. The sixth Guru, grand-father of the tenth Guru did introduced militancy in the Sikh circle as the result of his father, the fifth Guru was martyred by the Mughal emperor. But was done in a very haphazard manner and not in a systematic manner.
Then again the ninth Guru, that is Guru Gobind Singh's father was martyred. The tenth Guru then looking into the history decided that when all other methods have failed to face tyranny it becomes necessary to use fore, a fact he wrote in his letter to the Mughal emperor who had killed his sons in battels.
But it should not be mistaken that there is any difference of being a Sikh or a Khalsa. The later is another form of a Sikh. J.S.Dugal

According to Sri Gur Sobha by the contemporary writer Senapati, Jamshed Khan stabbed the Guru in the left side below the heart while he was resting in his chamber after the Rehras prayer. Guru Gobind Singh killed the attacker with his Sabre, while the attacker's fleeing companion was killed by the Sikhs who had rushed in on hearing the noise.
The European surgeon sent by Bahadar Shah stitched the Guru's wound. However, the wound re-opened and caused profuse bleeding, as the Guru tugged at a hard strong bow after a few days. Seeing his end was near, the Guru declared the Granth Sahib as the next Guru of the Sikhs,. He then sang his self-composed hymn:"Agya bhai Akal ki tabhi chalayo Panth Sabh Sikhan ko hukam hai Guru manyo Granth Guru Granth Ji manyo pargat Guran ki deh Jo Prabhu ko milbo chahe khoj shabad mein le Raj karega Khalsa aqi rahei na koe Khwar hoe sabh milange bache sharan Jo hoe."

At the same time, Kashmiri Pandits requested Guru Teg Bahadur ji that Aurangzeb is torturing Hindus in Kashmir, converting Hindus to Muslims, killing cows, gurus and Hindus. Then Gur Teg Bahadur ji Said that if there is a great man who can save Hindus by sacrificing himself, so that Hindus are not forcefully converted into Muslims. Then Guru Gobind Singh ji said that who can be a greater great man than you in this world? And thus Guru Tegh Bahadur ji sacrificed his life to protect Kashmiri Hindus and cows!! 29 March 1676, on this day, at the age of 11, Dasmesh Pita Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji became the 10th Guru of the Sikh Panth. Sikh community located anywhere in the world celebrate Baisakhi by participating in the special prayer meets and Baisakhi processions.
Baisakhi Celebrations by Farmers
In the villages of Punjab and Haryana, the day of Baisakhi is full of colors and vibrancy. Cries of "Jatta aayi Baisakhi"reverberate in the skies as gaily-dressed men and women move towards the fields to celebrate the occasion. High point of Baisakhi celebrations in villages is the performance of traditional folk dance bhangra and gidda by men and women respectively. The dance is simple in movement but is extremely energetic and is performed in-groups on the beat of dhol.
Farmers also celebrate Baisakhi as a Thanksgiving Day. After taking an early bath in ponds or rivers people visit temples or gurdwaras to express gratitude to the Almighty for the bountiful harvest and pray for prosperity and good times in future.
At several places in Punjab colourful Baisakhi Fairs are also organized to celebrate the day. People participate in these fairs with lots of enthusiasm and charm. Major attractions of Baisakhi Fairs are the bhangra and gidda performances besides wrestling bouts, singing and acrobatics. Performance of folk instruments - vanjli and algoza is also quite popular. Food stalls and shops selling trinkets make Baiskhi Melas even more joyful.
Baisakhi Celebrations by Sikhs
Sikhs celebrate this very important day of their religion with joy and devotion. They take an early bath, wear new clothes and visit the neighborhood gurdwara (Sikh place of worship) to participate in the special prayer meet marked for the day. After a special ardas of kirtans (religious songs) and discourses kada prasad (sweetened semolina) is distributed amongst all present. Later, people sit in rows to relish the langar or community lunch prepared and served by kar sevaks or volunteers.
Major celebrations of Baisakhi are organized at Golden Temple, Amritsar where the Khalsa Panth was founded on a Baisakhi Day in 1699. Most Sikhs strive to visit Golden Temple on the occasion.
Another high point of Baisakhi celebrations by Sikhs is the Baisakhi procession or nagar kirtan carried though the city under the leadership of Panj Piaras or the Five Beloved Ones. Men, women and children alike participate in the Baiskhi processions with enthusiasm. Mock duels, bands playing religious tunes and performance of bhangra and gidda dance make Baisakhi processions quite colourful and enchanting.

Simple explanation so this phrase would be: -
"the pure shall rule, and impure will be no more"
But it didn't justify the whole Dhora so I decided to have an in depth look in to it.
Guru Gobind Singh had written Dohra at Hazoor Sahib. He wrote this Dohra after giving Gur Gaddi to Guru Granth Sahib and original text is at Hazoor Sahib and this is being read there since 10th Guru's time. This Dohra is also written in Giani Gian Singh's book and perhaps also in Biaji Mkut Sakhi 10. The Dohra is also quoted in a few Rehitnamas.
"Agya bhai Akal ki tabhi chalayo Panth Sabh Sikhan ko hukam hai Guru manyo Granth Guru Granth Ji manyo pargat Guran ki deh Jo Prabhu ko milbo chahe khoj shabad mein le Raj karega Khalsa aqi rahei na koe Khwar hoe sabh milange bache sharan Jo hoe." Translation:
"Under orders of the Immortal Being, the Panth was created. All the Sikhs are enjoined to accept the Granth as their Guru. Consider the Guru Granth as embodiment of the Gurus. Those who want to meet God, can find Him in its hymns. The pure shall rule, and impure will be no more, Those separated will unite and all the devotees shall be saved."
The composition of this sacred Granth contains rendering (Bani) of six Gurus of Sikh faith and some Bhaktas and saints. It was composed in this form in the year 1604 with the addition later of Guru Tegh Bahadur's Bani (sacred composition). And its blessings are sought by the seeker with devout heart. Sikh religion sincerely believes that in each of succeeding Gurus, the spirit of Guru Nanak was operating incarnated.
The sacred Granth is installed in all Sikh holy places of worship and treated as presiding presence of Guru, an apostle of Divine Truth. The devotees of congregation in solemn assembly pray and seek blessings of the Supreme. This comes through in the mystical thought of Gurbani and it stands for realization of the Truth. The Gurus' word, known as 'sabad' is taken as the mystic thought of Guru.
In the words of Bhai Gurdas, a great scholar of Guru's time, "In the word is the Guru, and the Guru is in the word (sabad). In other words, the human body was not the Guru but the light of the word (shabad) and within the heart was their real personality." When the human mind dives deeper and deeper into the Guru's word, all mental impurities depart and wisdom of the Guru draws on the human soul. Thereby the devotee attains the divine light and wisdom which makes him to contemplate on God's name (naam). In the light of above realities, the Sikh religion makes the holy Granth as a living master of Sikh Panth.
Before setting for heavenly abode, Sri Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru, the founder of order of Khalsa brotherhood, conferred the Guruship to Sri Granth Sahib as a living Guru of Khalsa.

If Today Mahatma Gandhi Would have been Alive? India today, in the 21st Century, is facing a severe crisis of morality. Our country had been known for its ancient civilization, not because it is being handed down to us since 2000 BC or earlier but because of high values of morality, tolerance and traditions.
The religion of Hinduism has seen several attacks from across the frontiers with Muslim invasions starting off in the 7thCentury. We have survived the onslaughts on our culture, forcible conversions of our temples, because of our inherent strength and beliefs and not because of our militancy. The Sikh Panth was formed out of Hindus, to save the country against marauders, Khalsa being the militant wing. Guru Tegh Bahadur was put to the sword by Aurangzeb because he resisted conversion.
On the whole we have been patient, resilient and tolerant of other beliefs. That is how inspite of centuries of foreign rule, our civilization has survived. And today, the world and its developed nations are becoming more and more aware of the peace, tranquility and piety of our beliefs. The Hare Krishna sect, the Osho movement and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi have several of their Ashrams abroad. Sai Baba in India has millions of followers all over the world.
Gautam Buddha, Mahavira, King Ashoka, Guru Nanak, Ramkrishna Param Hans, Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi, all have been propounders of peace, morality and the Vedic way of life. The Bhakti movement was the belief of high principled and religious persons like Ramanuj, Jaidev, Kabir and Chaitanya and has its followers even till today. The beliefs of Swami Vivekananda were reflected in his speech at Chicago. At the Parliament of Religious on September 11, 1893 he declared "I am proud to belong to a nation which has sheltered the persecuted and the refugees of all religions and all nations of the earth".

Sikhism started with the birth of Guru Nanak Dev ji, and its teachings and opinions were quite different from Hinduism. The 9th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, did sacrifice his life to save Kashmiri Pandits, only because forcing someone to change the religion is against humanity and Sikhism. He did this for the sake of humanity not for the Hindus or Hinduism. Even if it would have been some other religion, his action would have been the same. Sikhism was established to stop the fightings of Hindus & Muslims.
Sikhism was founded by our first Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, legends say when he was born, light had come over the darkness like every other day. His birth was legendary. His father, had later on in his younger years given him money to go something good. Guruji had a very big heart so he had bought food for the homeless and poor that lived on the streets in his village.
Sikhism can said to be founded by all Ten Sikh Gurus with each of them adding an important attribute to the Soul of Sikhism
Guru Nanak dev ji and the other nine Gurus founded Sikhism.

Many things.
1) Creating Khalsa Panth - giving sikhs an identity by introducing a phase/passage way that a Sikh can chose to go through called "Amrit Shakna" It's similar to baptisms by Christians but the individual must decide themselves whether they want to do this or not. For this reason it's not performed on babies since they can make decisions themselves yet
He also introduced the 5Ks that all Sikhs r encouraged to hold, but those who are Amritari (did the Amrit shakna) must hold.
K- Kesh- Uncut hair
K-Kirpan Small sword to stand up to injustice and protect those who need aid
K-Karra A simple steel/iron bracelet to signify the universe and connection of all individuals. A circle has no beginning or end. God has no beginning or end. A circle is always connect. The universe is always connect. Non-precious metal so everyone can afford to to emphasis contentment in simplicity
K-Kanga Comb to keep hair maintained and clean and to encourage proper hygiene
K-Kashera - Simple clean loose undergarments to also encourage hygiene but also for modesty. Simple undergarments are not flashy and do not induce lust.
2) He took on Guruship at the age of 8 after his father was martyred by the Mugal Raj. He guided the Sikhs
3) Fought injustice politically and in war against Mugals. Especially in Anandpur Sahib where his family was trapped in a fort with many other Sikhs. They were tricked into leaving as the Emperor Aurangzeb swore on the Quran he would let walk out, but he instead attacked as they left and the Guruji managed to fight and allow many to escape along with himself, but many holy pages (never rewritten) and soldiers were lost.
4) After his 4 sons and mother died in battle he and his wife settled in southern india where he spread Sikhism and help many through guidance and langar. He was assassinated here. Here there is a gurdwara called Sri Hazoor Sahib.
