Jeff Beck has played with Bowie at least once. He was a guest performer at the concert that was filmed and released as the Ziggy Stardust movie. However his performances (on the encores I'm A Man and Love Me Do) weren't included in the film at Beck's request.

It is a very special series, as it was on TV in 1997-1998 on FOX. Was cancelled (or so it seemed) until 2002 when another episode was broadcasted. It was "cancelled" again until MyNetworkTV renewed it for a new 13-episode season in 2008-2009. No new episodes are broadcasted at this time, but MyNetworkTV does show encores of the episodes several times every week. Nobody really knows for sure (I think) that it will be renewed once more or if it's over, so we just have to wait and see.

On August 15, 1969, Richie Havens took the stage at Woodstock at 5:07 PM. As the festival's first performer, he held the crowd for nearly three hours (in part because he was told to perform a lengthy set because many artists were delayed in reaching the festival location). Having run out of tunes, he improvised a song based on the old spiritual "Motherless Child" that became "Freedom". Eventually, after being called back for several encores, Havens left the stage at 7:00 PM. Swami Satchidananda came on next at 7:10 to give the invocation for the festival. Swami only stayed for 10 minutes and left at 7:20. Originally, the first performer was supposed to be the band Sweetwater. But due to problems within the band, they would have to settle for being the first band to play at Woodstock when they took the stage at 7:30 PM.

The book was first published in 1816. The ballet first premiered on December 18, 1892.

1816: E. T. A. Hoffman published his book "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King". This work was a morbid story never intended for children which intended to show the depraved and desperate side of mankind.

March 1892: Tchaikovsky premiered the music for The Nutcracker Ballet Suite before was ballet was even produced. This eight-part concert version of the ballet music was a success. At least six times, the audience demanded immediate encores of specific music selections. Because of the Suite's instant success, the score was published even before the ballet premiered. (reference: The History of the Nutcracker)

December 18, 1892: Nutcracker World Premiere was at the Maryinsky Theater in St Petersbury, Russia with choreography by Petipa/Ivanov, music by Tchaikovsky and decor by Botcharov.. Sugar Plum Fairy: Antoinette dell'era, Prince: Paul Gerdt

I am assuming that you are referring to when Phil Rudd left Ac/Dc in 1983 or 1984. If so, Rudd apparently left Ac/Dc because he became exhausted from the frequent touring, etc. & he wanted to devote more time to his personal life(wife/kids). Simon Wright replaced Phil Rudd for several albums, then he was replaced by Chris Slade until Phil Rudd returned to Ac/Dc in time for the band to record the Ballbreaker album.

Phil Rudd did not leave the band to devote more time to his wife and kids. He had no wife. The major reason why he left the band was because of his increasing drug & alcohol problems. He began to spiral out of control and didn't really seem to care about anything anymore. His heart wasn't into the music as it had previously been. He had come to a physical confrontation with Malcolm about his issues not only with as I said, drugs and alcohol, but also with women. Phil had been engaged to a woman name Elizabeth in 1979 and they were planning on getting married in 1980. When Bon Scott died, the marriage plans got put on the back burner. Elizabeth was an American with a full time job in Houston and was raising her son Derek who was a toddler at the time. So, Phil would have to fly to see her. Unfortunately, this gave Phil the freedom to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. As his drug problems steadily increased, their relationship fell through the cracks. The straw that broke the camel's back so to speak was when she found out from a member in the band that he had been seeing a Dutch woman named Jasmine who was now pregnant with their child. Elizabeth was heart broken and the band felt that he had become extremely irresponsible. This situation obviously bothered Malcolm greatly and he had said nothing to Phil until they had a disagreement in The Bahamas during sessions for their forthcoming Atlantic album which was compounded but other issues that had happened on the last tour such as Phil showing up late for a party Atlantic records held in their honor in New York and then not being able to play two encores because he was too drunk; a huge embarrassment for the band. That's when Phil was fired. It was those two factors that contributed to his termination from the group.
