In Irish it's "amhránaí deather" (deather has no translation).

Removing the rails is easy, just remove the ball return first, and the rails can be removed by removal of the bolts underneath. The pockets need to be removed as well. Be sure to check the marks on the rails as they are removed, each is numbered and must be returned tot he same location on re-assembly.
To remove the old felt, all the brads and staples must be pulled. Then the cloth can slowly be pulled upward to release the feather strip. If you are not used to covering the rails, new feather strips should be purchased - these are very cheap.
If the rubbers need to be replaced, the old ones need to be pulled off while using a razor for clea removal. Clean the surface well before cementing the new rubber in place. this should be done in a fixture or straightedge used to be sure this is perfectly straight - any error in applying the rubber ruins the pool table for proper play. The razor or hobby knife is used to cut the proper angles, using the old rubber as a template. Let the cement dry as per instructions.
Cut the cloth using a template to get the rail and surface pieces with the least waste.
Place the rail fabric upside down on the rail, with less than one inch from the deather strip towards the rubber. Insert the new feather strip, starting in the center, being very careful to keep the fabric grain straight along the strip. Trim the feather strip ends, then trim the excess exposed felt. Pull the felt over the rubber, laying the rail over. Starting in the center, pull the felt taut over the rubber. This should be very taut but not so tight that the rubber gets compressed. Secure the center. Work from the center to each end pulling taut and making sure the grain remains straight. At the ends, the felt must be carefully cut to provide a miter. The strip side must be tightly on top of the table side, with a folded seam exactly along the edge of the mitered corner. Secure the edges. The corner pockets are simpler and more forgiving, the side pocket may take several tries to get the fold properly done. When complete, trim all excess felt.
Replace the rails, pockets, and ball return in the opposite order they were removed. It is very important that each rail be reinstalled in the same location or the table will no longer be square.
