My Boff family came to Brazil in 1875, coming from Seren del Grappa, Alto Veneto, the region northern to Venice. A lot of Boff'families came in those times from Seren del Grappa, to the southern regions of Brazil, now Caxias do Sul, in the recently open settlement for european imigrats. Boff in today a very common name hier in the region.
In 1979 I visited Seren del Grappa and got insight of the county records of the Boff family. I had a long talk with the priest in charge of the local catholic parish about the local uses and families and so on. He was a devoted investigator of local history and uses. As he told me, in the local dialect 'boff' means old worn trunks - specialy of oak. "like those which grow along the stream near the small vilage you went allong in your walk. Still today down in that village live a lot of Boffs, surrounded by boff trees. For us, Boff - family name - has probably the same origin as the Boff - place name".

Answer:
The ears of the African elephant act as a thermal regulation system. By flapping the ears the elephant can shed excess heat. The ears contain a large number of blood vessels.
The ear flapping also acts as a flag to rivals or enemies that the elephant is upset or angry. This is similar to many animals that try to make themselves look bigger when attacked or about to attack.

'bof pas mal' (pronounced boff-pa-mal) means 'not bad' in response to 'cava?', which means 'how are you?'.
"bof" by itself, which is what was asked, is a statement of complete boredom, disinterest, "ennui".
"Would you like to see the Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly play in your living room tonight?'' "Marilyn Monroe in your bed tonight?"
"Bof"
It was allegedly originated by a character on some French tv show, who was always bored.
The correct french expression which the original author didn't get "quite right" is:
"ça va?" TWO (2) words, where the first "ç" with a cedille (the little hook under the letter) is pronounced soft. sort of like "sa va". The way it is written above, it would sound like "Kava"

It really depends on the girl, but with most teens the more important thing is looks. If someone overlooks you because you don't look the way they would like you to, don't worry about it. Someone else should come along.

well im a girl, but im more of a 'boff' this doesnt neccisarily mean im geeky and wear huge glasses or whatever but i would prefer a guy for his personality and intelligence but looks still matter...this probably isn't helping at all...sorry
Answer:
Well if a girl only cares about looks then she is not the right girl for you. All ladies should never judge a book by its cover (person by looks), but I'm afraid alot of them do. I hope you find the girl for you. Good Luck! x

Millions. Anybody who buys a computer that has Windows, uses an XBOX, or uses their services is a customer.
If you use a grocery self check out system, most of them use Windows, the store is their customer, but you are paying for the system by shopping there, so you are a customer.
If you call technical support for Windows, you are a customer.
Direct or indirect, if you use their products or services and pay for it, you are a customer.
So how many do they have? MILLIONS.
