Beant Singh wanted to have the same equality like other community. he was good. But then he made a sin by killing. killing is murder. He killed Indira Gandhi who was loved by all, who helped so many people. Even the same with Satwant Singh. I think that even Indira Gandhi was a little bad cause she didn't give equality and she killed 10,000 people in the temple.

Due to Operation Blue Star, the sikh community was really angry on Indira Gandhi as she invaded the Golden Temple (Most religious place for sikh community) with Tanks and Guns. Her sikh bodyguards Beant Singh and Satwant Singh visited Golden Temple after the operation blue star and they could not hold their anger after seeing what happned there. Indira Gandhi was responsible for this because she lead the army to the golden temple(a religious shrine to Sikhs) to kill Bhindranwala (a influential Sikh leader who wanted equal rights for them in India). But because the government choose to attack the temple on a religious day, more than 1,000 innocent people died as it was full of devotees. This attack caused an outrage in the Sikh community. Beant Sikh, Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh took the initiative and decided to take revenge from Indira Gandhi. This was quite similar to what Udham Singh did to take the revenge for Jalianwala Bagh or what Bhagat Singh did to take the revenge of the death of Lala Lajpat Rai.
On October 31, 1984 Beant Singh drew a .38 revolver and fired three shots into her abdomen. As she fell to the ground, Satwant Singh pumped all 30 rounds from his Sten automatic weapon into her crumpled body. At least seven bullets penetrated her abdomen, three her chest and one her heart. The Prime Minister was dead. The two Sikhs then calmly dropped their guns. As other security guards seized them, Beant Singh said 'I've done what I had to do. You do what you want to do.' Beant Singh then was killed by gunfire while Satwant Singh was arrested and later sentenced to death.

OUR LEADERS have to become like Beant Singh, the late chief minister of Punjab and our police officers have to become like KPS Gill, the director general of Punjab Police in the regime of CM Beant Singh.
The following measures have to be taken to succeed in eliminating terrorism:
1.Terrorists like Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon, whom Pakistan is refusing to extradite have to be eliminated through agencies like RAW. In fact, even the Federal investigating agency proposed to be set up, should contain a wing for extermination of terrorists as it is hard to try them in a court of law given that no witness will be forthcoming to testify against them. This can be started by eliminating Abu Salem who is already in prison after a long extradition procedure. He may be quietly eliminated by the ATS of Maharashtra.
2.There should be no extradition proceedings and the wanted terrorists may be quietly eliminated by the RAW or the proposed federal investigating agency as extradition proceedings are not very fruitful and waste a lot of time.
3.The officers of the proposed federal investigating agency should be cyber-trained and able to monitor what goes on with the help of the Internet.
4.Mercy petitions of terrorists sentenced to death should be speedily dealt with. In this connection, it may be mentioned that the mercy petition of Afzal Guru who has been sentenced to death by the Supreme Court, has not been disposed of even after a number of years. Afzal is the notorious terrorist who was involved in the terrorist attack on Parliament House in December 2001, in which no politician died because of the sacrifice made by the security personnel of the Parliament. Had some politicians died, then perhaps Afzal Guru would have been hanged by now but security personnel do not count for these politicians and the mercy petition of Afzal is still a hanging fire.
5.There should be proper co-ordination between the various investigating agencies so that there is no let up in regard to Combating Terrorism.
6.At the diplomatic level, an all-out effort should be made to see to it that the designs of Pakistan are fully exposed. All the evidence should be provided in this regard to friendly countries like USA and UK, to expose the wicked actions of Pakistan.
If all the above measures are taken, perhaps terrorism could be countered effectively.
