The science of arthropods is "Arthropodology" and would be studied by an arthropodologist. This can be broken down into sub-sciences, for example scientists that might only study the insects (entomologist) crustaceans (carcinologist) or arachnids (arachnologist) - and some can be further broken down, an acarologist would study arachnids limited to mites and ticks, or a lepidopterologist would limit entomological study to moths and butterflies, etc. A coleopterologist would have a broad domain with about 400,000 species of beetles to cover.
