Vladimir Klitschko is a Ukrainian heavyweight professional boxer. He is the longest reigning IBF, IBO & WBO heavyweight champion in the history of boxing. He is a younger brother to Vitali Klitschko who was the former WBC, WBO & Ring magazine heavyweight champion.

1 answer

Wladimir Klitshcko

He holds 2 of the 4 major world titles (IBF and WBO) and is recognized by Ring Magazine as the Heavyweight World Champion.

This question is not as simple as it had been in years past, due to there now being 4 major organizations (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO) who recognize world champions with the awarding of a title belt. In 1983 the IBF came into existence and the WBO did in 1988. However, the WBO did not gain major recognition until the mid to late 1990's.

Currently the WBC title holder is Vitali Klitschko (the older brother of Wladimir). The WBA title holder is David Haye.

Baby Jakes Matlala/ JW:not accurate. To truly understand where ID3260278786 is coming from is the first..'stop' we need to make here ("sorry"). Baby Jake Matlala won two (2) world titles those being the WBO 112 lb and later the 108 lb. He won two (other) Organizations -titles- but they are non-recognized entities/ their is no questions about that. Even on the boxers record BoxRec.com in association with wWki only is counting the WBO championships as legitamate claims. (go to the discussion page and I'll go into this further pertaining to the actual Stock and value of those two other championships).

Of all time, probably Wilfred Bentiez or Wilfredo Gomez, although arguments could be made for Hector Camacho, Edwin Rosario, Felix Trinidad or Jose Torres.

Today (active fighter), probably Juan Manuel Lopez, the WBO Featherweight champ.
