Two out of the three witches in Oz remain nameless in the original 1900 book edition, and in the beloved 1939 film version, of 'The Wizard of Oz'. They simply are referred to as the Wicked Witches of the East and of the West. The third witch has the name of Glinda the Good.

In the book, there's a fourth witch, the Good Witch of the North. The movie combines her position description with the book's presentation of Glinda as being from the South. So the movie turns Glinda into the Good Witch of the North, and eliminates any and all reference to the South.

The fourth witch may or may not be nameless in the book. Later in the book, there's talk of a powerful sorceress named Gayelette, in the north. So she may or may not be one and the same as the elderly, unnamed witch that Dorothy Gale meets shortly after her farmhouse kills the Wicked Witch of the East.

The Spiritual Orchid is part of the title of Chapter 8 of the medical classic the Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen. The title suggests something different to the more technical medical information of most of the book. This chapter describes the internal organs of the body in a way that differs in many respects from the more usual way they are presented. It sees the organs as like the officials or cabinet ministers who rule the empire. At the head is the Emperor; however, despite this patriarchal symbolism the ideas contained are paradoxically suggestive of something other. One is reminded of the symbolism in the Dao Te Jing. Where it says that ruling the empire is like cooking a small fish - i.e. something that one has to do very gently or the fish will break. So contained within these passages are the more feminine, spiritual, heart, based medicine rather than the more technical. What better way to hide the feminine Taoist than dressed up in apparent Confucianism. Of course it is not very well hidden. The title of the Chapter the Secret Treatise of the Spiritual Orchid is a give away that someone is trying to say something rather different. And yet people do not see this unless they already have the keys to understanding. I am reminded of a book by Sukie Colgrave: The Valley Spirit, in which she suggests that although history shows China to have been a very patriarchal culture there is contained in its culture many references to a more feminine world view.

I'm back

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

I'm back in the saddle again

Ridin' into town alone

By the light of the moon

I'm looking for ole' Sukie Jones

She crazy horse saloon

Barkeep gimme a drink

That's when she caught my eye

She turned to give me a wink

That'd make a grown man cry

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

Umm...come easy, go easy

Alright 'til the rising sun

I'm calling all the shots tonight

I'm like a loaded gun

Peelin' off my boots and chaps

I'm saddle sore

Four bits gets you time in the racks

I scream for more

Fools' gold out of their mines

The girls are soaking wet

No tongue's drier than mine

I'll come when I get back

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm riding, I'm loading up my pistol

I'm riding, I really got a fistful

I'm riding, I'm shining up my saddle

I'm riding, this snake is gonna rattle

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

I'm back in the saddle again

I'm back

Ridin' high

Ridin' high

Ridin' high already

Well there are your lyrics.....
