Middlesbrough developed because of iron ore found in Eston Hills, which is quite near it. Coal was also found in Redcar, a few miles to the west of Middlesbrough. They both were burned together to form steel, and was exported out to many parts of the world. They changed from a small hamlet, with around 60 people, to an industrial town which currently has around 149,000 inhabitants
Hope I helped!

Gulls, or seagulls, are aquatic birds that may subsist on fish or on other sea creatures such as mollusks (shellfish) and crustaceans. They will also kill or scavenge small mammals in their territories. Some gulls dwell almost exclusively on land, while others will also float and swim to some extent.
Gulls are technically those in the family Laridae, while the related birds, terns, are of the family Sternidae. The two groups share many of the same characteristics and ecological niches.
