No, but Denmark is "divided" into 3 parts called Jylland (Jutland), Fyn (Funen) and Sjælland (Zealand). Jylland is a peninsula that lies north of Germany. Fyn and Sjælland are islands, with Fyn being in between Sjælland and Jylland. There's also Bornholm, which is an island near southern Sweden.

Denmark is not composed of islands; it is primarily part of the Jutland Peninsula connected to Germany. The country does include two major islands, Zealand and Funen, as well as smaller ones like Bornholm. Greenland, while part of the Kingdom of Denmark, is not considered part of the country itself.

The HD Ready TV will need a OUTBOARD TUNER such as a DirecTV box or a Cable TV box to act as the missing tuner. A full HDTV already has a High Def. tuner installed or built in.

Also:

'Hd ready' only is up to 720p but 'full Hd' goes up to 1080p. there is a hitch though; if you have a plasma (they've been trying but cant do it) it can get full Hd because the resolution on the screen cant take it, only a bit higher. But on other TV's its fine. You will still have the high def tuner installed.

Don't get into the salesman he just wants you to buy it!

(FYN; in the east Midlands we will only receive Hd from the aerial next April)

Denmark is to the north of Germany.

Denmark is considered to be one of the four Nordic countries of Europe (the others being Norway, Sweden and Iceland). It is the southernmost of these, lying southwest of Sweden, and south of Norway (Iceland is far off in the North Atlantic). It is bordered to the south by Germany. The Baltic Sea lies to the east of Denmark and the North Sea lies to the west. The country consists of a large peninsula, Jutland (aka Jylland), and many islands; the largest are Zealand (aka Sjælland), Funen (aka Fyn), Vendsyssel-Thy (although this is sometimes lumped with Jutland), Lolland, Falster, and Bornholm. A hundred or so minor islands making up the "Danish Archipelago" lie around Jutland in the North Sea and Baltic Sea and are part of Denmark.

Greenland could also be considered part of Denmark although it is now an autonomous country with Denmark only exercising control in foreign relations. Greenland, of course, is located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans east of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago of North America and is categorized as part of North America.
DENMARK is a country in Northern Europe.
