The product was physically developed at Proctor & Gamble, but the idea was created & presented in a marketing class under new product development. Professor Comegys was a former P&G employee & had his students "create" new products. This happened at Merrimack College, around the years 1983 - 1985. Our group came up with the product idea to spray clothes to remove odors, such as for removing the smoke smell in our outfits that we wore briefly to the campus pub. We did a whole presentation, soup to nuts, with whole marketing plan. I believe the professor sold or shared our idea to P&G. Inventors beware!
