If your Chevy 350 marine engine misses at high speed, you might have an issue with the timing. This can be adjusted. You also may have an issue with the fuel filter or injectors.

Spark plugs can do that also.

a chev dealer can use the VIN to tell you what rear end is in your dually. also if you have the owners manuel for the truck, it will tell you in the book how to tell which rear end . should also be a small metal tag n the diff housing with the rear end specs written on it this tag could be missing if not the original rear end

The traction control light will come on in an 02 Cavalier when the throttle postion sensor is going bad. It's not hard to change, a little hard to get to though. It is attached to the throttle body on the passenger side of the engine. It receives the throttle position from the butterfly inside the throttle body. When the trac off light comes on and you slow down you would feel like the car is trying to stall out on you a bit if it is the TPS. Not a hard repair but not an easy part to get to, new one costs about 20 bucks or so.

Answer - Finding 350 Chev Oil LeakI don't really have enough information (i.e. what make/model? What gaskets did you replace? Etc.) to adequately answer your question. However, maybe I can steer you in the right direction. The source of an oil leak can be difficult to discover. 1st - You may actually have a bent oil pan that is leaking. 2nd - 350 GM engines tend to be mounted on their frames with the front higher than the rear. This causes oil to pool at the back of the rocker cover - a source of potential leak. 3rd - The oil pressure sending unit located at the back of the engine can fail - this can cause anything from a small leak to something that resembles a water hose leak (Be sure to check for this one!). 4th - Could be the rear main crankshaft engine seal. 5th, 6th 7th - the list can go on and on.The first and smartest thing that you can do is to buy a can of engine degreaser and head to your nearest coin car wash. According to the directions on the can (or your service manual), clean the engine thoroughly, top and bottom. Then drive a very short distance, shut the car off and do a safe and thorough inspection from above and below. Chances are very good that you will find your leak. Furthermore, you might be pleasantly surprised at how nice your engine compartment looks. And the repair job (whether you do it or farm it out) will be easier and more pleasant to perform if you start with a clean engine. Hope this helps. Good Luck, Eddie
