If you have some vacation time coming up and you hear a road trip is calling, renting a camper makes a lot of sense over buying one. Just imagine having all the conveniences of home with you on the road and at each stop you make on your trip.

One great advantage to renting an RV over buying one is you get to try out the model and floor plan you select before committing. This can greatly reduce any camper buyer's remorse in the future. If you are considering the purchase of an RV, this is a splendid opportunity to get to know if a particular size RV will fit your family's needs.

Choose an itinerary that takes you on a loop through areas of the country you've been dying to see. A loop means you'll see more and not back track over familiar territory.

One thing to consider when renting a camper is what length of RV will best fit you and your family's comfort. With increased length you will get more amenities and a smoother ride, but the drawbacks of a longer RV would include less maneuverability and perhaps greater fuel consumption. If fuel economy and towing power are important factors, try out a diesel equipped rig over a gasoline burning engine.

Renting a camper also gives you some peace of mind should there be any road-related breakdowns. A breakdown in a rental RV is very unlikely. Rental RV's are meticulously maintained in order to prevent such occurrences. Still, there's always that slight chance that, despite a determined mechanics greatest effort, a ghost might still remain in the machine. Happily, RV rentals will normally include roadside assistance and towing insurance.

When booking a hotel room for a vacation, you are fairly limited to visiting the area around the hotel. Renting an RV gives you the freedom to go down the road, see the amazing sights this country has to offer and camp where you choose. Unlike camping with a tent where you are often searching in some dark, unknown campground looking for a level spot, in an RV your camp travels with you and is always ready to camp when you are.

Campers for trucks are a great way to go camping without having to worry about towing a heavy camping trailer. The first step to planning a camping trip is deciding where to go. There are so many campsites to choose from that offer recreational activities. Decide what types of activities your family likes to pursue. If your family wants to go horseback riding, then choose a state or national park that offers horseback riding. The best way to find your destination is to go online and research state and national parks. The websites will feature recreational activities, park fees and so much more.

Once you have chosen your destination, start a packing list. A packing list will keep you focused when you are packing so you won't forget anything important. You'll need to plan on packing camping supplies, clothing and food. Plan to pack some family games that can be played while traveling to your destination. Travel games can be found in toy stores. If you're camping during the wintertime, be sure to check the truck's anti-freeze, engine oil and tires. The benefits of winter camping include the lack of biting insects and the parks aren't as crowded.

It is important to pack clothes that can be layered for additional warmth. Don't forget to pack boots, hats and mittens. Pack beverages and soups that can be heated on your camper's stove. Hot beverages are great on a cold winter's day. Your family will need extra calories when participating in outdoor activities. Hot soups, dried fruit and pasta are good for sustaining energy outdoors. If you are going hiking, remember the sun is more intense at higher altitudes. Don't forget to put sunscreen on all family members.

Snow and water intensifies the sun, so limit your exposure while outdoors. Even if the skies are overcast the sun's damaging rays still penetrate the clouds. Baseball caps do a great job of shading the face from the sun. Summertime camping requires insect repellent and light clothing. Pack a lot of water on your camping trips, especially during the hot summer. Family camping vacations are a great way to spend quality time together.

The Titans were 6 gods: Cronus, Coeus, Crius, Iapetus, Hyperion and Oceanus, sons of Uranus (the sky) and Gaia (the earth), who ruled the world before the Olympians came to power.

When Uranus was King he imprisoned 6 giant brothers of the Titans in the belly of the earth. This caused Gaia much pain, so she persuaded her Titan sons to rebel against their father. Led by Cronus, all but Oceanus laid an ambush for Uranus, seizing him as he descended to lay upon earth. Four of them were posted to the 4 corners of the earth to hold Uranus, while Cronus castrated him with a sickle. Once they had seized control of the universe, the Titans released their giant brothers, only to lock them away in the pit of Tartarus a short time later.

Uranus and Gaia prophesied that a son of Cronus would eventually depose the Titan king, so Cronus, in fear for his throne, took to devouring each of his offspring as soon as they were born. Zeus, however, escaped this fate when his mother Rhea hid him in a cave on the island of Crete and deceived Cronus by giving him a rock wrapped in cloth, which he swallowed, believing it to be his newborn son.

When Zeus had grown up he availed himself of the assistance of Metis, daughter of Oceanus, who gave Cronus a potion that forced him to vomit the stone and the children he had swallowed. Reunited with his siblings, Zeus declared war on Cronus and the ruling Titans. The Titans occupied Mount Othrys, the sons of Cronus occupied Mount Olympus. The war lasted 10 years, when Gaia at last promised victory to Zeus if he would deliver the Cyclops and Hecatoncheires from Tartarus. Zeus accordingly killed Campe, who guarded the Cyclops, and the Cyclops thanked him with the gift of thunder and lightning. Pluto gave Zeus a helmet, Poseidon gave Zeus a trident.

The Titans were then overcome, and thrown into the pit of Tartarus, where they were guarded by the Hecatoncheires, and Zeus took his place on Olympus as king of the gods.

Cronus, the first God of the Universe and the only Titan willing and brave enough to follow Gaia (the Earth)'s wishes and kill the evil Uranus (the Sky) who imprisoned the Hecatonchires (the hundred-handed beasts) and the Cyclopes (the one-eyed beasts) in Tartarus, which was an endless pit guarded by a monster named Campe. Cronus married his sister, Rhea and had six children. Because Cronus knew that one of his sons would overthrow him as he overthrew his father, he decided to stop the next generation and eat (swallow) five of his six children (Demeter, Hera, Hades, Hestia, and Poseidon). But Gaia gave Rhea advice on how to keep her sixth son (Zeus). Rhea gave Cronus a stone (known as the Omphalos Stone) wrapped in swaddling clothes (robes) and tricked him into believing that the stone was his sixth son. Cronus promptly ate the stone.

Rhea hid baby Zeus in a cave on Mount Ida, Crete, in secrecy, in fear that Cronus would find out about the trick played on him. [The story on how Zeus thrived is a mystery spread upon different people and stories, see various articles on Zeus and Cronus for details.] As Zeus grew up, he became stronger and gained more friends and allies. When Zeus was fully grown and mighty, Gaia gave him an emetic herb to use on Cronus. Zeus tricked Cronus into thinking that the herb would give him immense and overbearing power, but instead it made Cronus extremely sick. Cronus later threw up the five of his children along with the Omphalos Stone. Zeus had prevailed.

Zeus shared land and power among each of his siblings, he made Hades the god of the Underworld, Poseidon the god of the sea, Demeter the god of the harvest, Hestia the goddess of architecture and family, Hera the goddess of marriage and the rights of women. Of course, being Zeus, he kept the best for himself. Zeus chose the right to guard the sky and the heavens, also becoming the second God of the Universe. Zeus also shared power, laws, and rights to those who lived in his land.

Cronus (zeus father) ate all his children as prometheus; a titan who could tell the future told him that one of his children would over-throw him.But when Cronus came to eat zeus Rhea (zeus' mother) hide him and instead gave Cronus a rock wrapped in cloth. Cronus ate the rock thinking it was baby zeus.Mean while, Rhea asked Gaia (mother earth) to hide zeus, so he was hidden on the island of crete and was nursed and breast feed off a goat-nympth, called Amalthea. The korybantes were the guardians of zeus, they were were the armed and crested dancers who worshipped the Phrygian goddess Cybele with drumming and dancing, theyre also known to have banged theyre shields togheter to cover up the sound of Zeus' crying.

When zeus was fully grown, he made a special drink and told Rhea to serve to in Cronus' drink, so she did and this made Cronus throw up the offspring he had eaten; Hestia, Hades, Hera, Poseidon and Demeter, and even the rock Rhea had served him, it is beleive that Cronus spat it out and it dropped to earth and became the Agia dynati.

Zeus then released the brothers of Cronus, the Gigantes, the Hecatonchires and the Cyclopes, from their dungeon in Tartarus, killing their guard, Campe.

As a token of their appreciation, the Cyclopes gave him thunder and the thunderbolt, or lightning, which had previously been hidden by Gaia. Together, Zeus and his brothers and sisters, along with the Gigantes, Hecatonchires and Cyclopes overthrew Cronus and the other Titans, in the combat called the Titanomachy. The defeated Titans were then cast into a shadowy underworld region known as Tartarus. Atlas, one of the titans that fought against Zeus, was punished by having to hold up the sky.

After the battle with the Titans, Zeus shared the world with his elder brothers, Poseidon and Hades, by drawing lots: Zeus got the sky and air, Poseidon the waters, and Hades the world of the dead and the underworld. (The ancient Earth, Gaia, could not be claimed; she was left to all three, each according to their capabilities, which explains why Poseidon was the "earth-shaker" (the god of earthquakes) and Hades claimed the humans that died.)

This is the story of how zeus came to power.

i could write more if you want, but i thought this is quite a mouthful so i right this now and if anyone whats more details or more stories on anything to do with Greek mythology, please ask, :)

Here’s a closer look at what Six Sigma is and what certifications you can earn.

What to Know About DMAIC and DMADV?

DMAIC and DMADV are different strategies for tackling projects under the Six Sigma philosophy. They’re the “backbones of Lean Six Sigma,” Ungar says. “They are a systematic approach to problem-solving and design.”

DMAIC is an acronym for define, measure, analyze, improve and control. “In a DMAIC problem, there is an existing process in which to implement the identified improvements and then measure the results,” Ungar explains.

Meanwhile, DMADV stands for define, measure, analyze, design and verify. “In a DMADV problem, the process does not exist, so the new process is designed and trialed and verified to ensure it meets the objectives of the project,” Ungar says.

Lean Six Sigma Certification

Lean Six Sigma combines the Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Traditionally, Six Sigma calls on black belt engineers to use statistics to find solutions to process problems, Ungar says. The Lean philosophy, on the other hand, emphasizes teams working together to find ways to reduce waste in a particular process.

Some certifying organizations consider Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma interchangeable terms. Others might have separate Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma belt certification tracks. The Council for Six Sigma Certification, for example, recommends Six Sigma training for “most people” and Lean Six Sigma for military and public sector employees.

If you’re considering between Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma certifications, research the course content to decide which is best for you.

Six Sigma Certification Levels

  1. Six Sigma White Belt

  2. Six Sigma Yellow Belt

  3. Six Sigma Green Belt

Why Six Sigma Certification?

Becoming Six Sigma-certified gives you tools to tackle complex problems in many industries. According to Campe, learning about Lean Six Sigma, and DMAIC in particular, prepares you to take on three roles: detective, doctor and mechanic. You can investigate, diagnose and fix problems.

Employees with these skills can initiate and complete projects that not only improve quality and efficiency but also affect the bottom line.

A long time ago,Mother Earth bore 7 children called the titans with her husband Uranus. Mother Earth otherwise known as Gaia had a child named Kronos, Gaia hated Uranus so she stole his weapon and gave it to Kronos in hopes of having her husband overthrown by Kronos. Kronos did what his mother wanted that he got awarded his father's weapon.Later on in the future, Kronos married his sister Rhea. They bore 7 children too called the gods, Hades,Poseidon,Demeter,Hera,Hestia and last but not least Zeus. But later on the evening his wife had children, Kronos heard a prophecy saying that one his children would overthrow them, scared that this would happen,he swallowed all of his children but Rhea became angry and decided to hide Zeus in a cave with a nymph friend of hers to protect the last child.Kronos became suspicious and threatened to ask Rhea where the last child was.So what Rhea did was she took a rock and wrapped it in blankets and mistakenly Kronos ate it releived that he would not be overthrown but Rhea decided to take Zeus out hiding as someone else and not their son. Zeus became the wineservant and he had a plan to bring back his siblings for they had been growing inside Kronos stomach so he gave Kronos a mix of wine and mustard and to Kronos distaste,he vomited up all of Zeus siblings and they were fully grown. Foolishly,Kronos made a war known as the titans vs. gods. Cyclops were Poseidons minions so the cyclops made weapons for the gods. Hades, a helm of darkness, poseidon the trident, and the mos t powerful weapon in the world for zeus, the world's largest lightning bolt. The war had begun.Zeus's siblings took care of all the other titans instead of Kronos. Zeus had striked his lightning bolt and to an instant,Kronos had died and the gods had won.So Zeus and 2 brothers baecame known as the big three but they could not decide who would rule over what so they finally made their decisions according to their weapons hades ruled the underworld poseidon ruled the seas and finally for his bravery zeus was god of the skies and king of the gods.
